(Newbie) Hydro Questions

So Im a newbie and have dumb questions.

I currently have 2 plants in a hydro sysytem. New to this so please comment at will.
1)Light is on 24/7
2)Pump circulates every 2hrs for 15minutes, then next 2hrs for 20minutes
3)Plants about 18 inches, looking wilty on bottom.
4)Small bugs that squash green on one plant.

I also have 2 plants in soil.
1)Same Light
2)Water every 3-4 days
3)Plants 8-12 inches

All water has plant food in it according to directions on the box.

Please tell me some pointers, or what im doing wrong.

change water and just use fresh water for a few days and see how that goes.
