Hello new to the fourm literally joined today. I've kinda been throwing around the idea of growing my own stuff and I finally got the go ahead from the old lady, so I've been slowly getting everything together without breaking the bank. taking materials off jobs and from work(I'm an electrician) this will be my first ever grow so I'm kinda excited my room I built is 43x73x83h with a fresh air intake, two 50 cfm fart fans. I think I'm about ready to germinate some seeds and get them in the dirt. I've been reading all kinds of stuff on this forum its very helpful and I dont like to ask questions but if you have tips I'll definitely use them as this is my first time. Btw I have a new light on ordered from mars hydro :)

I hear ya bud, I was excited too when I started :yahoo: although I killed a few :rip::rip::rip: cuz I loved 'em too much...and I'm gona be honest I started in a closet and built from there, but, now I have tents and HIDs...they're mobile and that comes in handy and in the long run much cheaper :thumb: you know the old saying...if I knew then, what I know now... ~Old Wise Man~ or....cuz hindsight is always 20/20... ~Dave Mustaine~

I built my room how I did because I didnt want to really take up any space in my barn I'm always working on something plus my 69 is parked in there so limited space. Our 17 year old beagle lives under the grow room :)

Well I soaked bag weed seeds (2) in water for 24 hrs, then planted in solo cups well 3 days later they started sprouting I was super stoked, they seem to be looking good so far .. room temp is around high 70s, humidity is at around 70% with exhaust fans off 40% with them on so I might have to get a better humidifier. The temp dosent change much. I installed a reverse osmosis system in my house which I will use that to water my plants also the wife wanted one so win win right? also got my mars hydro ts 1000 which is pretty nice time will tell:meditate:I'm thinking i should start a journal just incase i f#@k up

Congratulations with the new plants, now the fun begins. You've got a great setup, the plants will love that new mars hydro light.
About the humidity, 70% in veg is the ideal (desired) number, not many people achieve that, mine is at 40% often and the plants do ok. Anything around 30% and below is where the problems start.
Good luck bud.

My plants are under the mars hydro now before they were not and they seem to be growing quicker then i expected.. I'm waiting on my timer switch to put in for my exhaust fans im gonna do 30mins on 30 off that should hopefully keep temperature and humidity about perfect also still waiting for my oscillating fans to arrive because I have nothing at the moment I'm sure that might effect temp and humidity a little.. should have my ph meter, nutes, pruners etc by next week.. do you pros try to filter your outside air coming in?

Welcome to the community, you'll find it's addictive here lol
I just started out myself so I'm no pro, but your setup looks good and you have the right thought of mind to archive success. Good idea starting a journal, you'll get all the help you need here, you will like the mars hydro, I also have one and the girls love it, good luck with the grow :peace:

Figured I'd post ad updates on the girls they seem healthy to me? They did seem to be stretching a little but I lowered the light and added more soil they seem better now its been 8 days since sprouting got my fans put in my room and got my fart fans running 40 mins off 20mins on and will run while lights out.. im watering with reverse osmosis water
