Hey guys, this is my second grow and second journal. I have abandoned my first journal because I was too busy. I will try to post about once a week.

-Strain: Nirvana Blue Mystic
-Grow tent: MarsHydro 4x4
-Lights: 2x Mars Reflector144 LED 315W each
-Medium: 5 gallon DWC, 2x large airstones, 15L/min air pump
-It's a clone that was cut on May 24 2016
-Training techniques: Mainlining (I have a 4 way manifold kind of), LST (hanging weights), topping, defoliation, lollipop
-Nutrients: MaxiBloom and MaxiGro by General Hydroponics
-Temperatures: Day 78-80F, Night 70-75F
-Humidity: 45-70%
-Veg 18/6, flower 12/12

Update time! I have really dank pictures for you guys, it's growing so nicely.
Today is 95 days since cut, day 28 flower. PPMs dropped all the way down to 500, the plant drinks water and uptake nutrients about equally at this PPM. Can't wait till last few weeks before harvest, I hope the buds will be huge and swollen!!!

I think these are nutrient burn signs and not a deficiency right guys? Also the veins of the leaves are dark red, is it genetics?

Today is day 35 flower, 5 weeks in and 102 days since cut. The buds are getting fatter and fatter. During the last week, I did a reservoir change as the PPMs kept rising. At some point, the PPMs were at only 300 and it was still rising, caused by a nutrient lock out and unused minerals build up. Looking at the leaves, they were getting damaged and worse so I decided to do a rez change. I monitered it daily and about every hour. It is now stable at 1650 PPMs with a ph of 5.8. The plant is drinking as much water as nutrients. Even though the leaves are damaged, the buds are growing well. The foliage is served as "armor" and "insurance" when there is nutrient or pH problems. Some of the white pistils are turning orange.

Thanks for stopping by my thread LeDank, I wanted to return the favor

First of all, gotta say I love how beefy that trunk is! Very nice and sturdy, you won't need to do much at all to support the colas.

:bravo:

That is definitely nute burn on the leaf tips, that happened to my "test plant" (the 5th seed I culled and did terrible things to in the name of science) when I raised the ppm above about 2000. For my 3 "normal" plants, they are stable at a ppm of around 1300, and the sativa dominant one prefers about 1000 ppm. So, since your Blue Mystic is more indica dominant, I could see a ppm of around 1600 being a nice stable mark to shoot for.

Do you have any pictures from earlier on in veg? I would love to learn more about your training techniques, since I have never grown a clone before, and I heard that it can be harder to train them than a seedling due to the alternate node spacing.

Yes, I have a couple of pictures but not that early in veg! I just topped and instead of having 2 main tops, I have left 2 extra tops below to have 4 main branches. At some point, it didn't have any tops in the middle of the plant so I LST'd some to take advantage of the space and light. I currently have a LSD clone and am doing the same training. You can clearly see in the picture below!

Thanks for the update! Those colas are starting to look pretty tasty. How many more weeks would you estimate you have left?

Also, gotta say I love your training idea of tying weighted bags to the branches, so much easier than trying to find something to wrap a wire around! :goodjob:

It's my pleasure to update it! Soon i will have another journal for Barney's Farm LSD, Critical Kush, Vanilla Kush, Liberty Haze and Seed City's Canadian Cheese, all feminized! Nirvana states that Blue Mystic finishes in 7-9 weeks. Currently it's at day 45, but I estimate about 2-3 weeks left because the majority of the pistils are still white and the leaves are still green, slowly yellowing!

The weighted bags are really easy to LST, have to be careful and make sure the branch can handle it though! Snapped and ripped partially a few stems haha

Hope all is well in your world.

Is this grow still alive?

We would love to be updated with some pictures and info.

How about posting a 420 Strain Review?

If you need any help with posting photos, please read our Photo Gallery Tutorial.

I am moving this to Abandoned Journals until we get updates.

Sending you lots of love and positive energy.
