The Proper Way To Water A Potted Plant

You’d be happier with a mix that drains better but I think you’ll be okay if you practice the watering techniques Emilya lays out. She has an addendum about 4 or 5 pages in that talks about how to change up the frequency of watering while in flower versus in veg. Things change when the plant is blooming but in veg you want a distinct wet and dry cycle to happen. Best of luck! :)

One last thing: I recommend that when you uppot, you do so in a mix that is better draining. I’ve had decent luck with roots organic 707 and fox farms ocean forest.
