No Trichomes: What's the problem?

Hi guys,

It's gonna be a long story. I'll be grateful if you take the time to read it.

I have a AUTO GDP plant which is seeded by a stress caused hermie. I have only 2 plants so I decided to go on with hermie and this one.

I was expecting seeded buds, it's okay but problem there is no trichomes at all and I see brown hairs everywhere. It looks like ready. I'm wondering, what my mistakes are. Please have a look my feeding schedule and the other things I've done. Do you see any mistakes, please help me to avoid this problems to my next grow.

Hermie is regular plant, seeded to auto, what's gonna be like the seeds? Auto or regular? I'm collecting the seeds and gonna plant like 20-30 of them for my next experimental grow. There are so many ideas flying on the air. So, wanna see with my own eyes. I just don't know how to treat them. Should I behave like autos or like regular seeds?

They are in Coco. (Monkey soil brand - which i'm not gonna buy it anymore. I suspect this is garbage.)
Nuts General Hydroponics Trio (Micro - Gro - Bloom) + and Cal Mag.
3 gals pot
600W crap LED for VEG like 1 or 1.5 month then 250W HPS light.

Please help, it has dark green little leaves, no trichomes. Is it gene, overwatering, over feeding or just because seeded by hermie or something else?

It looks like non smokable. Should I cut it down immediately or wait? Seems finished, agree?

Hey I had a plant hermi my first grow after she was about 4 weeks in. Once that happened she stopped producing bud, the one plant I grew out of the seeds and it was pretty shitty smoke for what was there, the other I cut down about 3 weeks early and its not bad but a really short high. Its really up to you if you grow out for the seeds or chop. But I did find to get the seeds to fully ripen I had to go way past my 9 weeks and now I dont have to pay the crazy price for seeds.

Unfortunately if you keep screwing around with seeds from a hermie you will get more hermies. I made that mistake when starting out. They just kept screwing up my other girls. Do yourself a huge favor dump it buy some good genetics and just clone the shit out of it . I guarantee you will be happier. SORRY.

How many watts hps do you think I should go for 2 plants? In my first grow I use same lights and result was okay for me.

What can I do for nitrogen issue?

The parts of the plant that get pollinated tend to focus on making seeds and less on making resin. Yes you can smoke seeded bud but in this case there isn’t much there.

Feed less, better nutrients and better soil. Better genetics. Better lighting. I’d go with photos instead of autos next time, but I’m biased against autos.

Re your question about how many watts hps. Aim for around 50 watts per square foot. Nice to have a dimmable ballast for those times you don’t need all the watts.

For two plants about 500w
If you use coco use 5 gallon fabric pots.
Mix in about 30% pumice.
And water everyday using about 1/4 strength nutrients designed for coco.
Hang lights proper height for that particular light.

Crap! Didnt find any balls anywhere? I just had a mystery bag bean auto blow a full set of balls right out the main top and there was no mistaking it, it was just starting to stack and trics were still clear but resinous. I chopped everything, took the top and used it for a topical lotion. Get rid of Hermed autos and anything they pollinate. Learn how to make you own autos theres several growers here who do it and have tutorials. As soon as I burn thru the auto beans I have, I'm back to photos and clones and less hassle, to each their own. GG
