Hi there!
I'm a brand new grower, iv read everything there is to know online for hours and i finally got the required equipment to grow my very own plant. :)

The seed:
Northern Lights from Seedman, Auto flowering but unfortunately i didn't get a feminised seed, so we'll have to see what happens.

Equipment:

Pc grow box - Cannabit.com
CFL light red spectrum 2700k for flowering
CFL light blue spectrum 6400k for vegging

Jiffy pellets
All purpose compost
All purpose fertiliser

Its on an 18/6 light cycle, but I'm not too sure if it matters as its an auto flowering plant.

Re: Northern Lights (seedman) Autoflowering grow journal :) (first time)

I used the wet paper towel in between two plates method, within 1 day the root popped out, and the next day it grew so much!
time to plant it.

I moved the plant nearer the light so it would grow as quickly as possible

Looking good man, I've just started my own pc grow, only just popped the seeds into the soil today. I'll be keeping up with this thread to see how things are going with your grow.

Good luck dude, let's hope it's female!

Nice clean set up. Regarding the lights you can keep 18/6 for all the life cycle. At least that's what I am doing. I wouldn't recommend less for veg at least.

If I were you, I would try to train your plant as it grows. I made the mistake to do it once I runned out of space and no mine is a little crooked.

Hope it's a girl, take care!

What kind of training do you suggest? Like a mini scrog?

anyone think the little white marks on the leaf or the colour of the stem is a problem or just nothing???

Upon b.real suggestion I did lsting (low stress training) in my current grow... although I was a little late. However this helped me get some side branches grow and lowered the overall plant heigh.

You just need to bend them the plant by the neck with yarn and tape it to the side of the pot (or somewhere else as I did).

Just a friendly suggestion!

Hi, Benkaplan :ciao:

Welcome to :420: and journaling!

That's a cute little seedling you have there. ;)

Does the white stuff come off if you rub it with your finger or is it 'in' the leaves?

It almost looks like residue leftover after water dried or something.

Either way, I wouldn't worry yet.

On the training, some light LST may be a benefit in keeping within the restrictions of your space, but keep in mind that any stunting done to an autoflower directly impacts your yield, as you can't extend your veg time.

I'm looking forward to watching your little one grow!

See you around!

Hi, Benkaplan :ciao:

What kind of water are you using for your plant?

Do you have a water softener?

I'm just wondering because of the residue on your plant.

Is this pot the final one you'll be using for your plant?

Usually it's a good idea to plant an autoflower in its final pot to avoid stunting them. :)

Hi there!
Just using tap water with it, the residue is slowly fading away..
Yes the latest pot is the final one, any bigger and it wouldn't fit!
the only worry is that at 1 week a lot of other plants are already double this size, or at least have their second set of spiked leaves.. :S
