Not So New, Not So Old.

Howdy everybody!!

Well, it's been a loooong time since I've frequented these boards and I see that there is a lot of new faces around :D

I guess I'll introduce myself a bit. My name is Vexy, and I live in good ol' Cowtown (Calgary). I've been habitually smoking marijuana for more years than my stoner brain can remember :bong: Haha, what else is there to say?

These boards used to be a big part of my life, and unfortunately some life challenges prevented me from being able to participate as much as I would like. But I am back now, and back for good....I'm glad that I still see a lot of familiar faces, and can't wait to get to know some of the new ones!

I'll warn you now though, it's gonna take me a while to get used to the whole "420magazine" thing. Deep down, I'm sure this site will always be 420times!!

Glad to be back!!!! :headbanger:

Salutations Vexy, it's great to have you back. What've you been up to as of late, if you don't mind my asking so ? How was the stampede this year?

I hope lifes been treating you well and that your cannabis is exceptional and abundant.

Cheers!

Re: Not So New, Not So Old...

Hey Moose!! Thanks for the welcome!! It's equally as good to have members welcome someone back into the community as warmly as you did!

As for you OnionGobbler, it's good to see that you've remembered me! You've always been one of my favourite posters :)
Lately, I've mostly been working too much. I scored a job at one of my local hospitals that turned into a supervisory position where the work never ends. When I have free time, I usually try to enjoy the brief summertime that we get in Calgary. I'm moving into my own place (FINALLY no roommates :D ) on August 1st which I am absolulely thrilled for, and I am going on a week-long trip to Las Vegas later in the month. Needless to say, I have been working quite a bit to ensure I have enough money for my August endeavors!

As for Stampede, I went to the Semi-Final Rodeo and Chuckwagon races. I also checked out a few bands and wasted some times on the grounds. It's starting to get a little expensive, which disapoints me although it is definitely worth the trip.

And yourself, what on Earth is new with you???

Re: Not So New, Not So Old...

Welcome SeXy VeXy! I love your Capt. Jack Sparrow quote. I have been smoking off and on for 38 years. Presently smoke daily for medical reasons and am on my first grow. It is usually a joy to meet new people, and I think this is one of those times. Herb

Re: Not So New, Not So Old...

Welcome home SeXy VeXy ! I'm glad your back ........:hmmmm:Do ya still work at the Porn shop ? :smokin:

Re: Not So New, Not So Old...

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone :ciao:

And no jeeper, I have left the porn store. I wish I could've stayed, but the pay just wasn't good enough. I'm working at a hospital now.

Re: Not So New, Not So Old...

How could I forgot someone as comical and articulate as yourself ? Congratulations on the new housing arrangements. 'Tis good to see that you're keeping busy with decent and steady work, do you see yourself getting into medicine as a vocation?

As for myself, I'm just taking it easy and steadily accumulating finance (in what some would consider atypical ways). Looking forward to going back to school for a forestry technician program in September at Algonquin in Ottawa and also to resume serious MMA training.

Re: Not So New, Not So Old...

Well the same goes for yourself... I've always enjoyed reading your contributions to the site :D

I've been tinkering with the idea of going into nursing. Although since getting my job, I'm not so sure. There's a lot of different things I'd like to do, and all of them medical-related, but right now I love my job too much to consider going back to school. I get to see a different side of health-care, as well as how it all comes together.

Atypical or not, it's always a good thing to be making money.

MMA training? I had no idea! Have you competed at all?

Too bad about the porn store ...........:hmmmm: Well ..........I do have that ex porn store employee/nurse/candy striper/???? hospital employee fantasy thing to fall back on .......:smokin:....:cheesygrinsmiley:

Re: Not So New, Not So Old...

It is, but I've got a decent collection of... er, memoirs! haha!

But yes, there is definitely that fantasy still.... I think I have a nurse's outfit around here somewhere *goes off to look*

Re: Not So New, Not So Old...

It's good to hear that you find your job fulfulling, dare I say more satisfying than working at the porn store?

And no, I don't compete nor do I ever plan to. I know how much damage can be inflicted and would rather not risk my health for the entertainment of a mostly ignorant fanbase and a mere pittance. I do it for love of the art.

Re: Not So New, Not So Old...

dont think i've had the pleasure of seeing you in action on the boards since i'm a pretty new member. :) but welcome back anyways. hahahaa nice to meet you!

Re: Not So New, Not So Old...

Welcome back, eh. Yeah, I said it.

On an intellectual level, absolutely!! I'm the supervisor of my department, and am always swamped with work that continues to challenge me. I love it!!
However, I do miss the porn store. That was a one of a kind job, with one of a kind people.

I can understand that. I'll admit that I have been very disappointed with the way the UFC seems to be going. Dana White appears to be trying to suck in as many fans as he can, regardless of their love for the sport. It's good to hear someone actually doing it for the sake of the sport... and not just quick popularity/financial gain.

Welcome back VeXy! I have read some of your posts in the archives and glad your be back to posting again!

:allgood: Thanks to both of you!

Welcome back, eh. Yeah, I said it.
Ha ha... very funny ;)
I can't object too much though.... I'm definitely guilty of using it myself, haha!
