10/1/16 Week 13 Flowering Day 43 - I did a ph water flush today.

9/30 ph 5.77 in 6.00 out 688ppm. I did Week7 of the nutes schedule.

10/8/16 Week 14 Flowering Day 50 - She's full and doing well. I did a ph water flush today. I did Week 8 of the nutes schedule this week. I'll be starting Week9 of the nutes schedule on Tues. I snipped all the tops of the buds for bud backbuilding.

10/13/16 Week 14 Flowering Day 55 - It looks like she almost ready. Trichomes are a bit cloudy and I see one or two faint looking ambers. She's sticky and nicely fragrant. Her bud hairs are all dark and curled in. I remove all her LST binds, and I lightly defoliated her. I placed my 800w COB light for side lighting for the last week. I have it only turned on for 400w not the full 800w power. I'm hoping the side lighting can penetrate through her very bushiness to get to her lower buds and make them a bit more denser. Top half the plant is very solidly dense.


Trichomes: a bit milky with a couple of faint ambers.

10/18/16 Week 15 Flowering Day 60 - Harvest Day, I only cut about half the plant. That's all I could do today. Will do the rest tomorrow (Weds). I decided to wash all the buds. I used 3 buckets. First bucket I did baking soda and lemon juice in bucket one, and 2 rinsing buckets. I did not use peroxide since it's an indoor grow with no health issues. After vigorous dipping, shaking, swirling in each bucket mostly trim leaves were in the bucket. They're hanging up to dry. The buds are very small, finger size buds. A ton of leaves to trim, way too much work, I prefer more bud to leave ratio, not the other way around. Lets home the vape is worth it. lol

My camera wasn't working so I wasn't able to take pics, this was all I can do for now.

10/20/16 - I harvested the rest of the plant yesterday. I washed it and hung it up to dry. I jarred it today. Not sure if I'll grow this strain again, it was such a pain in the butt trimming just to get dime size buds and smaller. I doubt I will get even an ounce once all dried down to 62%. Hoping for a darn good high. lol

I've included a picture of all of it drying and a picture right before putting into jars. I put my lemon og haze right next to it so you can see the size difference. The Northern Lights looks like turds lol, I have never seen such tiny buds in my life. I have heard good things about this strain, but I'm not seeing it yet.

10/23/16 - I finally have the dry weight for this one Northern Light plant. I didn't make my goal of 2oz per plant unfortunately.

Dry weight: @ 62% is 37.93g or 1.33oz


For shits and giggles I weighed it at different moisture levels:
47.94g @ 89% (when it was first jarred)
44.77g @ 82%
39.15g @ 71%

I will post a smoke report in 5-6 weeks.

Smoke Report: I will post a rating of 1-10 (1 being the least, 10 being the best) *Please note, I'm a heavy user, so my tolerance level is higher than most.

High intensity while Smoking with pipe: 6-7 (I can get high with after a bowl, maybe about 10 hits. It's a nice subtle high, with a mellow affect so I like smoking/vaping this after a day of smoking my Lemon OG Haze, I smoke this when I'm ready to relax and chill for the evening, only cause I don't have a true indica available yet to enjoy at night, but I'm curing my Aurora Indica as I write this)
Taste while smoking with a pipe: 6 (subtle, nice and smooth)
High intensity while vaping: 6-7 (I can get high after filling my Solo vape 1-2 times)
Taste when vaping: 6 (subtle, nice and smooth. The smell is also sweet and subtle in the jar}

Not sure if I would buy this again, but also willing to try growing the last seed I have in DWC tank for better results. It's a good Medium THC level plant for those seeking a less intense high, and subtle smell and taste. Though the tedious harvest and trimming of the tiny buds wasn't worth the smoke or the high for me.
