I have a small bathroom that I clear everything out, towel, toilet paper etc and then I shut off the AC about an hour before and then spray down and wipe every surface with 91% Isopropyl alcohol.
Put on a mask and spray my hands.

I got enough shrooms in one batch to last us for years.

It's not so much about the effectiveness of Lysol being able to kill bacteria and fungus as it is about the aerosol liquid dropping to the ground due to gravity (and pulling any airborne microbial life with it).

Its just youll never see this in labs and im really anal about shit like that lol

I'd recommend the hood then Only money right. Yea a lab would probably like a little more cleanliness but for at home you can't beat the ease and it does work, just don't breathe on it.

If you see something other that white mycelia spreading through the grain (like a slimy ooze or a totally different color) then you've failed and your sample is contaminated.

You know ya'll got me thinking about it and I bet a totally organic grain (the grain is the nutrient source for the shroom) would not make me so sick feeling. Back when I grew those years ago I didn't even know what organic was. Chemical foods sometimes make me feel queasy and kill my appetite too so it makes sense to me.

Week 4 flower.
Got 4 to 5 weeks left.
The past week everyday within a few minutes after I water they have been very pungent, super sweet smelling, almost hurts your nose type sweet.
The watering seems to trigger a response, its like a thank you.

I added a few pinches of Bokashi and Craft Blend under the mulch today before watering, noticed my worms were just having a full blown rave under there, a lot more worms than I started with a couple months ago.
They're doing a great job pulling down the amendments into the soil and making more available for the plant.

The calyxes are just starting to really pop out now so should start to thicken up nicely soon.
Watered with just Yucca today.
Yesterday added a small amount of Biophos, 1/2 dose of Ferticell Algae and 1/2 dose of Buildabloom.
Day before a small pinch of Silica.
Can't really imagine it growing anymore perfect than it is so far.
So these two cultivars should produce as good as the genetics will allow.

They're growing perfect and under a blanket of between 900-1300PPFD light.
Temp 77⁰ Humidity 50-60% lights on
Temp 71⁰ Humidity 40-50% lights off

The only thing in the grow thats subpar is the 7 gal pot.
It looks very nice, not a flaw but compared to the 20 gal next to it the buds are about half the size.
But half size bud is still twice as good as no bud.
The soil in the 7 gal is hard , its just pure roots and about the only nutrients its getting right now is what I am top dressing and watering with daily.
The 20 gal soil is buttery soft like a cloud, I can just stick my finger into till I run outa finger, like sticking a finger in pudding.

Yep, bathtub and small bathrooms are like they're custom made for growing.
White tile on walls, exhaust fan in the ceiling, and the tub keeps everything contained.
All I had to do was add pots and hang lights, done.

My DLI is between 39 to 56.
General target is 40 DLI is what most seem to say is needed for max yield.

Today's plant menu is just Yucca and 1/2 dose of coconut water.
I feel like with my plants transpiring as much as they are because of my DLI dialed in optimum so that they are plowing through water and nutrients.
That I need to add a lil sumptin sumptin even if just a microdose at every watering.
Don't want these running outa juice the final couple weeks.

Got an organic question for you Nunyabiz. Do you think, in your honest opinion, you could get away with a cover crop of clover (grown thick) for all your nitrogen needs or do you still need to amend with nitrogen rich organic amendments?

Cover crop of clover and peas with plenty of worms, plus whats in the soil such as Karanja cake is way more than enough nitrogen.

Calyxes are popping out like pop corn about everyday, can't wait to see if these really fatten up the final two weeks.
Cream & Cheese CBD looks like its possibly going to turn red.
I am not going to change a thing for at least two weeks, then I'll lower humidity to about 40% then 35% final week.
Mostly microdosing everyday.
Little pinch of Silica, little Buildabloom, coconut water.
Everything staying the same, I just start oxygenating my water at 9am, then water between 1-2pm.
I leave two 16oz cups full of oxygenated water for the 7 gallon pot that I give it at 7-8pm before lights out so its not totally bone dry before next watering.
Definitely needs watering twice a day now.
20 gallons are fine once a day.

Yes. The 7 gal is a full watering to run off and then about 32 oz about 7 hours later which is probably close to run off, at least a few drops.
If your soil tilth is right then your roots should absolutely fill a 7 gal fabric pot like a blivot.
And with heavy roots, proper soil and the plants transpiring as they should then twice a day is pretty normal for tiny (under 10 gal) pots.

If you're in flower especially late flower and only watering every 4 days then to me at least something ain't quite right.

The 20 gal i give about 1 to 1.25 gal of water a day which is never to run off.
I don't want them to have run off.
Just a good watering to keep everything moist .
