Investigators seized 125 marijuana plants Thursday during two raids on suspected marijuana-growing operations here.

One man is charged in connection with the first bust in the 300 block of Lincoln Avenue. Summit County Sheriff deputies said they have not charged anyone in the second raid and are still investigating.

The county drug unit found 30 mature marijuana plants inside the Lincoln Avenue home, deputies said. They also seized $2,000 cash and equipment used to grow the plants, deputies said.

Thomas D. Coffman III, 36, is charged with cultivating marijuana and illegally assembling items to make drugs, both second-degree felonies. More charges could be added as the case proceeds, deputies said.

The drug unit also raided a home in the 200 block of East Bath Road. Deputies reported finding 95 plants, including 55 starter plants and 40 mature plants, inside the home.

Investigators also seized between $8,000 and $10,000 cash, deputies said.
