A petition calling for signatures to get a measure pertaining to medical marijuana on the November 2016 ballot has found its way to Duncan.

The organization Oklahomans for Health, which leads the petition, has a 90 day deadline to gather just under 70,000, or 8 percent, of registered voters’ signatures. The statewide petition must have these signatures collected and turned in by Aug. 11.

If enough signatures are gathered, the proposition will appear on this year’s general election ballot.

This is the second time the petition has circulated across the state.

In Duncan, residents can find the petition at one location. According to oklahomansforhelath.com, the site is at Dr. Deb Brantley’s office, located at 1608 W. Jones Ave.
