Ontario Outdoors 2020

They look great man, :welldone:I don't see any issue.
Nice job on your first grow. Probably a month left at least, maybe more.

No

PM {powdery mildew}. PM forms on the leaves, outdoor growers deal with it alot. Spores fly in the wind, and heat with high RH will exacerbated the problem. There's small spot on the leaves below.

, i sprayed my leaves a week back with the baking soda and a bit of dish soap, like a drop
I find once it starts, you need to keep going with preventive spray. Just because you can not see the pm, its probably still there.

I used milk in previous years, work's well. Only catch is that you need the sun to cook the milk to create the anti fungal and anti bacterial properties. So if the sun isn't baking the milk, you're not creating the properties needed. Milk is also more of preventive solution, generally need to start before PM shows it's ugly head. If the area you grow in is known for pm.

Baking powder will make ph unlivable for pm, as will cider vinegar. But these solutions should be used regularly once pm shows its ugly head. But becareful with your buds.

This year I'm trying InTheShed formula,
The citric acid spray is a 1% concentration, so 500ml (which is 500g) of distilled water gets 5g of food grade citric acid and 4 pipette drops of dish washing liquid. Scale up or down as needed, but I find that my full grown plants take almost 1500ml (and 15g and 12 drops) to spray every nook and cranny where the PM hides.
Seems to be working well, I've sprayed twice, in the last 6 days. And will continue to spray until harvest, or close to it.

Keep up the good fight @CanadianBacon92.

Yup that's pm alright. Keep your eye on it. I would keep spaying with something.
What does happen, in my experience, the spores will start infecting the buds.

Bud washing at harvest time.
H2o2 solution in first bucket, baking powrd solution, lemon juice solution, then two clean water buckets of plain water.

H2o2 will kill the mold, to certain degree,

I'm using 5 (5 gallon buckets) bucket system,
Dip into h2o2, then lemon, then baking powder, rinse with last to buckets...

Good luck :headbanger:

Edit: spelling

seems like you know what you’re talking about! i appreciate any advice! its cold today, like 15c im waiting on this wednesday (23c) or thursday (24c) to give it a good spray with the milk, i have a mister, will the milk and water mixture damage the flower if it gets misted?

I've noticed the the milk will turn the pistil orange. So use sparingly on\around buds.

I always fought pm, over the last 25 years there has been very few times were there was none on my grows, probably only due to strain. Some strains have great mold resistance. White widow comes to mind. From my experience, results my very. :cheesygrinsmiley:
Good luck bud.

Your ladies look far from done. Dont go by when breeder say they will be done. Its not the hairs that you want cloudy its the crystals or trichomes. I suggest you spend some time on google and watch a few videos of how to tell its time to harvest marijuana. Good luck my friend.

judging by looking at them, what is far from done? a few weeks or a month?

In ontario its usually the last few weeks of october for harvesting for most. This year my moby dicks will be done early but for some reason they started flowering the end of july. I have 3 strains growing moby dick, crown royal and gorilla glue. Look at my pics the moby is getting harvested this weekend and the crown royal and gorilla glue are a month behind. I posted some pics so you can see the difference. Just be patient. Once half the hairs turn dark and start to curl thats an indicator to start paying attention to the trichomes (crystals). Another thing to consider is the cold weather here weve been getting lately could slow grow a bit. 20200919_141006.jpg20200919_140347.jpg20200919_140958.jpg

Im sorry to say but it looks more like a month. Patience is hard this point in the game.
not trying to bitch lol, but ive had them growing since may, i hop on youtube and search around for local growers, i see alot of them harvesting, and i got another month to go like wtf...patience is key but this is ridiculous.

Not close my friend, when you are close you pistils will start to turn orange.
Yeah don't pay to much attention to times that seed companies say, that is for Ideal conditions. Use it as an approximation

Pistils are all still white, if I was to guess another 4 weeks at least, plan for closer to thanksgiving.

It is the trichomes that you want to be cloudy, not the pistils.

MrG has giving you good advice, don't rush it now. So close to the end.

Patience will serve you well here ;)
