optimal distance for 1000w light in 3*3 tent?

My plants are about two feet tall, 3 months into veg. Just wondering where to go from here with lighting Since I know that is key to success and I am hoping to flower soon any info is greatly appreciated And thx.

I usually set my leds at 24” and lower it a couple of inches every few days until I find the sweet spot.

Yes but go slow so the plant can acclimate to the light intensity. Light isn’t the enemy. Heat is what will kill your plants.
