Otto Gelato’s First Grow: Gelato, Granddaddy Black, Blueberry & Northern Lights 19/20

This is the plant next to it. I had to use a strap to pull it away from the light and make sure the top bud was getting light, because it stretched right past it.

I’t’s doing nicely noW I think

It could be light burn actually.
That was my thought. That’s why I moved it. I think the top just grew too close to that CMH.

I decided to move another branch just now. It was growing up into the light as well. My Gelato all have seat belts now.

I had two more branches praying and looking like they might be starting to burn, so I took @Backlipslide’s advice and tried super cropping. They seem okay, but I’m super nauseous. Lol.

Super cropping is safe for the plant, no worries.
Yes definitely what pennywise said
It can be your best friend its saved me a few months ago I let a few plants get the better of me more like I neglected them
Here's a few pics
They were literally growing into the light without supercroping they were finished

I was trimming a bit this morning and noticing that some of the leaves I’m removing to get light to buds are starting to be pretty sticky (at least the ones with really short stems.)

So my question is: do these tricomes have any medicinal value at this point?

The sugar leaves growing from the buds make awesome Hash, concentrates and edibles. A lot of dispensaries use sugar leaves to make pre rolls with.
Yeah, I actually use a lot of edibles, so I’ll be using my sugar leaf trim for that. But I’m just wondering If the fan leaves close to the bud that I’m defoliating now, which definitely have some trichomes, have any use or value?

Had to do another super crop. @Backlipslide you’ve created a monster!

Otherwise, the girls seem to be good. I’m in the 5th week now and these are 8-9 wk flowering plants. Curious to ask folks following, what’s your position on flushing plants in coco?

Also, anything you suggest supplementing with in the last 3-4 weeks? I’ve been using Big Bud and Bud Candy, I’ll likely go another week on the BB, then Overdrive. Anybody have any family secrets for big mf buds?

Don't trim the sugar leaves from your buds, you'll jus be throwing away good bud.
Oh yeah. When I said sugar leaf trim, I meant the trim at harvest. I’m just trimming the fan leaves blocking light at this point.

When you harvest the plant, stick the trimmings in a baggy and into the freezer right away.

the leafs your trimming off now, won’t mount to anything so, no point in saving those. Only at harvest.

great job on the super cropping! Your right! What have I done!! Lol your a monster! :laughtwo:
