Would taking cuttings and leaving them outdoors be worth the effort? The clone would be flowering if that makes any difference.. or must I control the cycle with some light source? thanks.

Taking clones outdoors on a plant is difficult, for the simple reason that you need more than 16 hours of light to prevent flowering and cessation of growth. In high summer it's ok when day length is long. I'm a gardener and I propogate all my normal plants outdoors, but I always do cannabis indoors in a controlled environment.
You'll get smaller yeilds

Go to Lowes?homeDepot and buy a 4foot floro "Shop light"
they come in 2 or 4 tube models.
Buy tubes for it while you are there,
most now days will handle 40 wat tubes,
get half warm white and half cool white.
Instant indoor clone lights for a dozen or better
for less then 40$, Trust me.

if i clone the c1 that has small yields will it make it an even shittier yield? i guess if the smoke is worth saving ill go get a light thanks

If it's a small yeild is it as potent as it should be?
It's hard for me to tell, one of the reasons I like to spread the beans, see what others get from the same genes.
I think it lowers the quality/potence as well as the yeild, veg them at least long enough to get a good root system so they don't spend energy flowering and trying to put down roots.

Yield is influenced by several factors. First, the strain. Some strains like Critical Mass are big yielders, while others yield less. Second, the grow regimen. Things such as light intensity, ferts, heat, are all transient factors.
If you take a clone from a spindly or small plant, and grow it out well, you may end up with a huge yield. Conversely, if you clone a super plant and then grow it poorly, yields can be disappointing.
There is no real guide to yields, but all breeders give advisories based on optimum grow conditions.

strain is unknown from a low grade bag, only source of seeds i trust at the moment. thanks for the responses ill post more pics on a real thread sometime and see how cloning comes along.

Just run to walmart and pick up a 42w cfl, that'l be fine for clones.

Thanks I went with 2 2ft flourescents and decided to take the clones during re-vegging post harvest instead during flowering. I have pics of the grow from veg-now and ill share it all after harvest.. call me paranoid!
