Sure beats a hose or bucket.

This year I've gone to a single 1gph drip emitter at the trunks and a drip ring with 1GPH emitters ever 6" around each plant. I've calculated the combined GPH at incoming water pressure and use a moisture probe in conjunction with a timer to determine watering frequency.

do you have the water going all the time?
sure is a sweet setup, stoners can be lazy sometimes, but in a good way.

The system is on all the time but I have a cutoff valve on that station. I use a probe to test moisture content of the soil down to 12" at around 5pm and if they need water (currently about every third day) I open the valve and the system delivers water (currently for 14-minutes) at 4am the next morning. My weather's only in the mid-80s now and as summer heat intensifies, the ground dries out and the plants take on their rapid growth the watering frequency and volume will go way up. I've found that mulch over the plant root areas makes a big difference in water requirements.

whoa, you definently got a great system going. everything is on point too.
sending you a digital high five:ganjamon:
