outdoor ETA?

I am feeling somewhat antsy here and perhaps a knowledgeable growers like are found on this message "posting board" could help me??? with it

I have a fine marihuana specimen growing outdoors; it is being about a month old, about 14" tall, pretty leafy - any ideas how long its taking before it buds?

Additionally, if its male can the buds be smoked? I have heard a lot of conflicting information on this subject.

the male plant doesnt produce any buds, the only smokeable material is the leaves, let it grow really big and then strip all the leaves off and dry em out

Yeah i started pretty late, thats what im worried about. I have to go back to school soon, luckily a friend may adopt the plant when i leave.
