Outdoor growing in Mass

Hey chefant Beantown fan might be close to you. I start my girls inside as early as possible, that way when I put them out in June they are big. Happy growing.

Not quite what you're asking but you could consider building a 'cold frame' out of 2x2 lumber and builders vapour barrier plastic to protect against cold nights.
I built a small tunnel style hoop greenhouse. It's great for keeping the plants dry if there's a rainy spell too.
