Quarryville, Pa. - The construction company, Paul Risk Associates Inc., has been in business for nearly 80 years. When the medical marijuana bill passed, one of their customers asked them about building a facility where he could grow and process marijuana. The president, D.J. Risk, decided to form a division called the Cannabis Design Build.
"Right now we are focusing on the construction and design of growing and processing facilities," said Justin Wisniewski, President of Cannabis Design Build.
"There's a real opportunity. There`s no one on the east coast that focuses on the construction side," said D.J. Risk, President of Paul Risk Associates Inc.
Applications for growers and processors are expected to be available at the beginning of 2017, according to the PA Department of Health.
