Emmaus, Pa. - The Emmaus Borough Council unanimously approved an ordinance regulating medical marijuana facilities Monday night.
Some groups have expressed interest in placing a medical marijuana facility in the borough.
Emmaus officials say they wanted to be proactive by adopting an ordinance determining where growers, processors, and dispensaries can go and how they will be governed.
In 2016, state lawmakers approved the use of medical marijuana in Pennsylvania.
