About three years ago I was in a car accident leaving me with degenerating facet joint at L4 with bilateral narrowing and moderate/early bilateral sacroiliitis with atrophy at L4-L5, L5-S1. I have also been diagnosed with fibromyalgia/myofacial pain complex. Every time I asked for pain relief the doctors reached for antidepressants, saying I just need to sleep more and relax my muscles. The antidepressants gave me heartburn something fierce and didn't help with the pain.

A friend gave me some cannabis in an effort to help with the pain, and it works. About 15 minutes after a few puffs I can move well enough to do my lighter housework. At night I smoke about an hour before bed and sleep quite well. I have children and I am a better parent when I can move then when I can't. The problem is the legality of it and the expense. I hate that I am breaking the law to get relief and that I'm hiding in my garage like a criminal (I don't want my kids to know).

Sexually, because of the pain my husband and I were having some problems. But with cannabis I can enjoy it again with some exciting twists. The sexual act becomes so intense and the pleasure unreal. For me it's almost an aphrodisiac, but not that I don't know what I'm doing. I do become somewhat philosophical as cannabis really does make you think about the big picture of life in a whole other way; that doesn't change when I wake up. Very few people know that I use cannabis and very few would guess. I've told my doctor I tried it and it helped. If you need any more information feel free to ask. I only ask that you keep me anonymous as I'm scared.
