PaintedbudMan's Garden 2017

Been a while since I dropped in. Sorry about that but we have had some family issues. While I was on vacation, a family member that was staying in our house broke into my grow room and proceeded to lie about it after we returned (we had pictures from a camera in there). Because of this we had to ask them to leave .... words were said, and I had to clean out the grow room for now to stay safe. Too bad as they were looking very good so far. I'll drop in from time to time just to keep the log going but I will not be growing anything for a month or two until stuff cools down anyway. I will grow again!!!
Wtf did they do that made you kill all those plants.

Basically they threatened to turn me in to the police. I didn't want to risk loosing my job, going to jail and basically fucking up my entire life.
SO i cleaned everything up for a little while and then went on.

Well.... considering they had no vehicles and were staying at my house .... the only tires and/or windows that could be damaged were mine. My wife asked her daughter and family to find another place to stay (they took things from in my man cave as well as just breaking in and then lied straight to my wife's face about it, only admitting to it in the face of photos (we had been on vacation and left a trail cam in in there while we were gone, had to return it to my friend when I got back or I would be sure who broke in this time as well).

Another week and a new set of pictures.

First an ensemble photo. They are 4 weeks old and have just been flipped to 12/12's as of yesterday. They are starting into that fast grow stage that is so much fun cause you know at the end of it then the budding starts. From bottom right going counterclockwise (same order in the individuals following the group) is Jock Horror Auto-flower, Wonder Woman, Misty Kush, and Papaya.

Finally my hempy Grow ... blueberry kush auto. Starting to grow now ..... the difference between the first week and the end of the 2nd weeks is very striking. The leaves appear to be over watered (curved stiff leaves but no other sign of distress) but I've never done hempy before still sort of unsure of myself here. Well regardless I'm looking forward to learning and gaining confidence and skill so nowhere to go but forward.

So until next week and more pictures Keep it Green!!

Once again it is the weekend photo blast. The girls are growing well. The Blueberry Kush Auto in my first attempt at a hempy bucket is doing well. Starting to bush out and grow. Almost the same as the others in this grow just 2 weeks behind. Feeding everybody once a week. I've had some pH problems. The pH meter I had been using went out of calibration so pH 6 was measuring about 7. So I over compensated and ran my pH down into the low 5's. I have been adjusting the nute pH up to ~7 the last 2 feedings trying to bring the effluent pH up. So far it is still lower than I want it but it is coming up. The hempy bucket I pulled all the water out and then added 1 gallon of nutrient solution, waited 15 minutes andf then drained the bucket till it was at the right level. I use my handy dany shop vac to just suck the water out of the bucket then over fill with fresh nute solution. Then pull out excess solution. Full flush and refill takes about 15 minutes. So far it has been working well. I've included my growth chart this time as well.

Better late than never..those pics, plants are looking great.. :passitleft:

The 4 girls are 6 weeks old and the blueberry kush auto is 4 weeks old. Every one is looking good, healthy and growing well. The Blueberry kush is bushing out nicely, but not growing tall yet (although it is doing ok compared to where the others were 2 weeks ago, maybe an inch or so shorter but much more bushed out. I have given up on individual pictures of the 4 in my main grow chamber until they start really budding. Right now they just all blend together, but man are they pretty green and happy looking. Continue to feed with pH 7 nutes to bring the effluent pH up. Lat week it was mid 5's which was better than before. This week I am hoping to closer to 6. Slow steady movement, as long as the plants look healthy I will wait to flush, maybe till I'm about 2 weeks out of harvest. If I see problem, i'll flush immediately. I like the ease of adjusting the hempy bucket. Simply vacuum as much of the water out as possible, add significantly more water than you need, then pull out the excess and move on. Full flush and replacement takes maybe30 minutes and that is with a 20 minute sit to try to leave as little of the old nutes and salts in the bucket as possible (you know diffuse out of the perlite or stagnant areas that just don't mix well, etc).

Here are this weekends pictures as well as the updated growth chart.

My hempy bucket Blueberry Kush auto has grown tremendously since last saturday. In a short 3.5 days it has grown almost 3 inhces in hieght but mostly it has grown in spread. See below. Just though I'd share! :passitleft:

The girls are 7 and 5 weeks old. Looking at 5 or so weeks (maybe a little longer, but they have to be chopped and drying shortly after that. First lets look at the hempy bucket blueberry kush auto. She grew 4.5 inches last week and is starting to put out buds and colas. Looking good!!!

Next for the more traditional system. They continue to grow well, still seeing the effluent when I feed them being low (have not flushed them) but it is coming up just slowly. Since I see no issues with the plants ..... growing, leaves look good, no real red to the stems or significanly odd shaped leaves .... I will wait to flush until ~2 weeks before harvest or when I see problems. Growth rates have been good .... best with the jock horror auto(9") and worst with papaya (4.5"). Starting to see buddevelopment starting so I included bud pic of each plant.

Its Saturday night and its time to update the girls progress. They were all fed today. I introduced a little molasses to the nutes for the girls in the main grow chamber. (3 oz in 9 gallons). I have noticed a small amount of what appears to be iron deficiency. Based on what I read this is most likely a pH issue on the high side. I was adjusting the pH to close to 7 to battle a bad pH probe but not i have settled in at 6.3 for this feeding and for subsequent. Hopefully, the iron deficiency is being driven by a higher pH in some areas of the soil and this will adjust it back into the right range. This grow, even with the bad pH probe, has been the most trouble free of any of grow Ive done. Cross my fingers and hope the wheels don't fall off. Growth has been good, I think the Papaya has stopped growing and is now in full fledge bud development. They are taking on a frosty appearance already. According to my guess I still have 4 weeks to go. The hempy grow is doing very well:bravo:. They are further along at 6 weeks than any other plant in this grow. Its possible I might be able to take her at 10 weeks with her 2 week older siblings. With the additional grow space, I hope to pull in between 14 and 17 oz of dried weed. Here are pictures and a growth chart (I have extrapolated the expected hieght based onthe average growth rate during the last 7 days, by the time this grow is done all the extrapolated future data will have been replaced with actual real measurements).

Oh well on to the bud porn but remember to always Keep it Green!!:420:

Take care and remember to always Keep it Green!!

My sister sent this to me. I gave her a couple of seeds, she threw them in the ground in June (shaded, bad ground, etc everything you shouldn't do) and checked on them Last week. Of the 6 she started with 3 had were male, and 2 of the others died sex undetermined. The last one had a couple of small buds on them. Its scheduled to frost later this week so we gave her one girl the chop. Maybe enough once dried for a bowl or two. But the picture below is her drying rack (LOL). I think it looks like a military medal or something .... the order of the green trident or some such .... mostly just thought it was cute :laughtwo::passitleft:

 congratulation to sis

Just a couple of photo's from my first foray into Hempy Bucket. So far so very very good. At 6.5 weeks from germination she is budding out and looking great. Thanks to Nicholas Flamel for giving me the idea for trying this .... after seeing some of his, I had to. Depending how the rest of the grow goes, I may add anothher hempy bucket to my next grow. Here are the pics a top view and a side view.:Namaste:

One more week closer to harvest. Nov 11 is 12 weeks for the girls in the big grow chamber and 10 weeks for my hempy bucket. Which is doing very well, thank you very much. The blueberry kush autoflower is just about done growing up at ~21" but bushy with lots of buds just waiting to swell. We shall see but she looks very nice to me. Not much trichromes showing yet but nice structure to bulk up.

The rest of the grow is showing signs of slowing down and settling in to bud production. The girls all look good ranging from 27-42" in height, and now starting to fatten and glisten. ~3 weeksto go I think. If not then only another week or two.
