Pappys attempt at a journal

Good morning to all... So I got up this morning, to check that my lighting timer had work right this morning..It did:grinjoint:..Just a bit paranoid but I don't know why:ganjamon:..While looking things over, I realized that I should have transplanted them before I switched them over to 12/12 cycle 5 or 6 days ago! They were only in 6 qt pots..duh I should have know better! So then I repotted them into 5 gallon buckets and once again...started thinking..duh Maybe I should have waited a little longer to transplant, them because of the stress I put them under by switching the timing on them......I hoping this dumb newbie move doesn't hit me to hard... they were all looking good, when I did this.. so.. The lesson I have learned here is ask those who know first before I make what could be a stupid move. So heres a question before I do it.. should I nute them now after just having transplanting them, or wait a bit? I was thinking about 50% big bloom or should I just give them water ? I gave them some nutes 4 days ago at 40%

You will be fine.. The Big Bloom is organic and a mellow nute... Hit them up... So why the five gallon pots for the little plants? are you going to sex them then go back to veg or are you staying in flowering?

Yes I was figuring that I would sex them and go back to veg, figured that I could... cull out the males and give more veg time and better use of space. possible keep a mother..for cloning? Going to move the males outside on back lot, just incase.. I find a need for them later on ? Are they any good for hash? Thank again

Thanks SouthernOnt... I figure if I put them out far enough from the house, they might come in handy for something.. A lot of this is very new to me, and I want to keep my options open.
Today i'm trying to figure out just how, I can provide co2 by using a 5 gallon water bottle,as a generator, with the materials I have available... I will need to find a cork or something to seal the bottle off with, so that I can pipe the co2 to over the tops of my plants, with a valve to control the flow of co2, or suppose I could just, free flow and control it by making small pin holes along the piping, which I will have to do anyway!

dunno not really a indoor specialist if your having any problems outside i could likely help there's many different ways to make oil butane makes my fav the gold with barely any tar

Afternoon, didn't get down to check the kids today till late had a couple of appointments. It was worth the wait, 3 of the six have shown themselves to be little ladies a 4th is suspected, but will wait to call it in a couple more days. The other 2 have yet to give me a clue, but with 3 for sure that puts me at 50% and I would be happy with that, I tried to get pictures up close but the camera I have just wouldn't produce a good enough shot to share! I have and old digital camera that I believe will take shots better but, I need to pick-up some batteries for it... yep that how old it is uses AA batteries..
:grinjoint:

The 2nd batch is still going good for 13 days old, just gave them their first taste of nutes @ 15% of label.. MJ house plant 8-7-6, 1 of them doesn't look like it will make it, both first leafs are brown the stem still looks like its ok but I doubt that it survives...time will tell!

Afternoon to all, well it's now been 9 days since I sent them into 12/12 flowering cycle, I didn't getto check them out yesterday at all but knew things would be ok, because I watered them the day before, and have only been watering them every 3rd day, if needed. And for a change the gods have smiled on me. The pictures aren't the greatest but you can see the hairs on them all, if anyone disagrees, please let me know I am going by pictures I have seen here. I can't believe that 6 out of 6 plants are ladies, never in my wildest dreams!!! :slide:

Because of some unforeseen circumstances, the grow had to be ended early. Oh well, better luck next time.

Thanks to all for the help!
