Patience Is A Virtue?

Hi all, just a quick question. I have three WWxBB photos, in hydro, that are currently on day 67 of flower. 90% of the pistels have darkened with a small amount of new hairs showing up. Tricombs are 95% cloudy with no apparent amber showing. All growing conditions have been thumbs up for the last three weeks and I now have to tie the colas up right because of weight. Getting antsie to harvest but read somewhere that a twelve week flower is not uncommon for White Widow and is well worth the extra wait. Question is should I wait to see some amber tricombs or should I cut now?

Is that three plants there? Or, the three plants?

The pic makes it tough... 67 days for that strain might be early, or too soon. Depending on what yer looking for. They look,, from a distance to be airy. That's a bold call from a picture at distance I know. Feel free to prove me wrong or know better, I'm just saying. Tough call man. Go with your gut, don't cut corners now.....

For me, amber isn't necessary. No clears, cloudy only and the occasional single Amber is key for me to harvest.
You can ask @ Peeece if you like, hes done that strain before. The longer she goes past her cloudy sweet spot, the lower the levels of THC from what i understand. Her levels of CBD, CBC, CGA will increase too, if they're in her profile.

I've had strains that just didn't seem to amber up but were definitely done. My Royal Gorilla did it. As Guy alludes to cloudy is key - as long as they're not clear the potency should be there. That said the window to harvest is pretty long, so you're likely safe taking a wait and see approach for a bit longer.

Out of the three plants, #1 is twice the size and the only one producing new pistels. As of this morning even this newer growth seems to be darkening up and curling in. After much reading I think the consensus is that another week or two won't hurt (except maybe try my patience). Thanks for all the advice and will post updates next week.

Yeah, that's nice. Thx. I'd make plans for some chopping....

Finally the day we all wait for came and went. Day 90 and down they came with maybe 10% amber tri. Sticky and sweet smelling, they filled the house with the aroma of success. So after all this time (next run will be much shorter) here is the run down. Four seeds started but 1 dropped out at the git go. One was a week late under the light, one grew four fan leaves instead of a growing top at the third node, one was a pig and out grew all around her.
#3 The late starter produced 55 grams in the jar.

#2 Fan leaf girl produced 50 grams in the jar.

#1 The hog produced 132 grams in the jar.

All grown in 10 litres of nutes in a home made closet system.

Grown under a 450 watt full spectrum LED pulling 219 watts from the wall. So total weight at 237 is just over a gram per watt. Not heavy weight but so far a nice smooth smoke and will last for months to come. So looking forward for the next go around.

And a little something for last.
