PE636's Purple Kush Coco Grow

Didn't make it to the tent before the girls bedtime this morning so not much for pix but a quick update...
Day 62 since signs of flowering
White Widows are both fat and juicy and looking like they will get the axe in about 4 days. The trichs are clouding up slowly, haven't seen a single amber yet. Which is fine, and there are still a few clear so I am hoping another 4 days will make a difference. The PK is getting some foxtailing on a few of the bigger colas, one is a total hairball of straight up white pistils on top. I didn't check her trichomes last night but about 4 days ago there was still tons of clear so I will have to check her in 12 hours when she wakes up.
Overall looking good, the WW are both pretty healthy. The PK has been a fussy plant, at this point some of the sugar leaves have some yellowing/spotting/crispiness going on. Seems to be worse on the colas getting the most light towards the center of the tent. And some look just fine. Fortunately it doesn't seem to be affecting the buds, and the ugliness is contained to the outer half of the leaves so will be trimmed off anyway.

You read my mind BF! There has been a massacre in my closet. 5 hours of chopping trimming cleaning the tent and hanging last night.

It's a coffee and scissor hash kind of morning!

No idea on the weight I'll scale it up before jarring . Will be picking up some mason jars this weekend. Started the chopping just before lights on, the stems seemed relatively dry compared to when I chopped a sample a few days ago during their mid day.. But some of the white widow colas are pretty fat they will take a while to dry I think.
Humidity is low in the house but I should be able to maintain 63 degrees and 50 percent humidity I think by putting the tent exhaust fan on 15 and off 30 mins or so.. Hoping to get a nice slow even dry before the curing (and smoooking!!) begins. White widows are pungent and crystal coated with a smell I can't quite place, not skunky but similar, like skunk with a dash of linseed oil perhaps.
The Purple Kush did indeed get quite a few purply sugar leaves especially on the top part of the colas, I hadn't realized how much since it doesn't show up well under the hps. (Note to self for next grow, start inspections just before lights on with regular lighting). The PK doesn't look as coated in sugar as the WW but it is sticky as hell and has a beautiful spicy peppery earthy stank.

So I can easily maintain whatever temperature I want and pretty much any humidity between 35 and 70 depending on how often I run the exhaust fan. I've been doing an hour on and hour off, seems to be maintaining 65 degrees and goes from 45 to 55 percent and back down etc. According to what I read that should be about right. Buds are definitely drying but have a long ways to go, I expect I'll be able to jar some of the smaller stuff well ahead of the fat WW.
Of the samples I have smoked I can say this... Both burn nice and clean, and not what I would call harsh at all especially for having zero cure. The WW is very tangy almost a sweet and sour kind of effect, the smoke itself somewhat expansive and is very stinky the stereotypical absolutely reeking weed smoke lol. It is a nice energetic happy high, relaxing but not mind numbing and doesn't make me sleepy at all really.
The PK I haven't tried as much of just 3 little bowls in a clean bong.. Very strong smoky spicy flavour on the inhale, seems sweet going out. Very pleasant warm and cozy high sets in quickly, will be a nice evening /bedtime smoke.

The final product... 13 mason jars of WW and 3 medium Ziploc bags of PK buds, plus 2 and half bags of sticky but larfy popcorn and a bunch of leaf trim. More jars will be here in a couple days. Not sure on the weight I forgot to order a scale, might do so this evening.. Debating making a bit of oil or dry sift does anyone have any opinion what to do with the b grade stuff?

Thats a good looking haul. All the work has paid off, great job. I hope it smokes as good as it looks and keeps you in supply till your next harvest.

Any idea whats on the menu for the next grow?

Nice harvest man!! I vote oil! I made some with the 200 proof alcohol. I'll be ordering extractohol for my next harvest. My personal plan is to dry sift the trim and leafs, anything that looks good after sifting and the dry sift will go into a mason jar with grade A buds. Freeze them and the alcohol separate, them mix and shake, strain, repeat, evap and dab!

My wife loved the concentrate I made so much, even though we were out she kept scraping the slick pad for scraps.

To make things better use a slick pad to evap off of. Its safe and then you just take your dab right off the pad. Its fantastic!

Thanks, it's definitely doing the trick and I imagine it will get a bit better with some age. Not sure what is next, I may try something outdoors this summer. Possibly autos but not sure, can't be too much work lol, summer is extra busy for me workwise, and I also have a 1200 square foot veggie garden to look after plus the lawn is about 4.5 acres. I think the tent will have to wait til mid September to get going again due to temps and company visiting in the summer, but I would love to wrangle a powerful sativa of some sort in there.

Thanks BF, I am pretty pleased! Ya I am leaning to oil, I have a liter and half of 99 percent isopropyl alcohol coming in a couple days. Not sure if that is enough or what but we will see.
