PH problems

Hey all,

I am in my first grow. Using ffhf. Been developing a small cal deficiency . Found my ph was way low about 5.3. I've been trying to raise it with no luck. If I ph my mix to 6.5 it drains at 5.5, then I phed my mix to 7.5, it still drains at 5.5, then the last batch I phed to 8.0, and it drained at 5.5. I thought it might be my ph perfect nutes. I even tried switching my nutes to a different brand. No change in ph runoff.

Is there something I'm missing?

Were it me, I would worry more about pH being 6.3-6.4 going in and not worry about what's coming out. I am on my 2nd grow and on my first, Netted 20 ounces with 4 plants. Not once did I ever check the pH on the way out. Even with my 2nd grow, I worry about what's going in and could care less about runoff pH

There is no need to measure the runoff ph. You only need to worry about the ph AFTER you add your nutrients being between 6.2-6.8 in soil.

Thanks for the replies,

Just seems like the calcium uptake might be low. Im gonna up the calmag dose and mix it up to 6.5 from now on. I think in the next grow I'm gonna throw a little dolomite.
