Phase Three: Out Of Work!

After two success grows I've decided to start my third grow while I have some time off of work.

I'm gonna be out of work for the next 2-3 months while I finish up classes for a better career because let's face it minimum wage and fast food jobs don't cover all the bills!

My setup is minimal and not the best but once I get some cash flowing in the upgrades will come!

Strain: Zookies x Glue
Lighting: 2000w HPS / MH
Medium: 100% Coco Coir which will be topped with perlite
Nutrients: General Hydroponics w/ Heavy 16 supplements.

I'm already on the beginning of Week 3 of veg as of 09/22/19 and they've just been topped expect for 2/13.

They've been fed 3/4 strength nutrients every other watering but a few things to note:
I think I potted up too soon.
This is my first time running all Coco Coir.

Any and all tips and comments are welcome and invited!

Calcium maybe? Did you precharge the coco with cal mag?
No I found out late Coco comes with no nutes. I've been adding around 4-5ML of Botanicare CalMag per gallon of water every feeding.

For certain coco you should water with nutrients every time. Never plain water. Most folks I am aware of run 1/4 to 1/2 strength on established plants. I basically never go over 500ppm or so. Ph your inputs to between 5.7 and 6.0. Feed/water daily on established plants don't let your coco get dry, it's not to be treated as soil.

I've been messing up, I've been treating it as soil and letting it get dry and skipping feedings... I will surely correct these issues. I don't have a ppm meter but my pH has been upward of 6.1-6.3 so I'll be bringing that down and updating you in a day or two on how it's going!

Partially dry is ok especially in veg. In veg I water every couple of days, very similar to soil I let the top "dry" a bit before irrigation. (It's not dry, just not wet I guess) I use the same nutrient solution for everything ≈450ppm @ 5.5-5.8 Ph In flower I water 5 times a day. The more often your irrigation cycles are the the more frequently you replenish the nutrient solution immediately surrounding the root surface. This also brings in additional Oxygen for the root zone which is always a good thing. Most folks only run one cycle per day which is absolutely fine,

sounds like a plan - don't forget to give you plants some "dry" times, Green House Seeds really pushes it and gives plants 5-7 days dry time - this really pushes terpene's and essential oils, like to do a 3-4 day dry period - 7 days to much

My 2 gallon pro mix BX pots hold around 4 liters of feed including some runoff. I have 8 of them so the 2 pales are perfect for feeding the whole crew. Then the DWC hydro bucket I am going to pre mix and bubble feed in another bucket 24 hours in advanced so I can dial in the ph. The air stone seems to cause the ph of my water to climb considerably.
