Reminder squeeze out excess water from rapid rooters.

May 2 2021

Watermelon Zkittles and Pineapple Express started in paper towels. 70-80 RH 72-76 degrees. Distilled Water 6.0-6.4. Rapid rooter plugs are soaking in distilled water with clonex solution all sitting on heated seed Mat to regulate temperature in rapid rooter.

May 3 2021

Both seeds popped. Letting them grow a little before I place in rapid rooters.

May 4 2021 midnight

Over anxious! I planted both seeds in the rapid rooter plugs. Using distilled water ph now 5.8-6.0. Keeping humidity high at 75-80% heat steady at 75 degrees. Now the waiting game. The big push who will be first. I’ll spray daily to ensure moisture retention in the plug.

May 4 2021 2230 hours

Pineapple Express popping out of the rapid rooter plug already. Waiting on the watermelon Zkittles. Will monitor the growth of the leader length once the root comes out of the plug (about 1-inch) I’ll trans plant to DWC.

The first is PE and the very late second is WZ. Will keep the updates coming.

May 8 2021

Planted PE into DWC ph perfect nutes at 1/4 dose. DWC water height touching basket. I will continue to watch for sag and root growth out of the basket if so then I will lower the water volume.

Watermelon Zkittles first attempt was murder by me very upsetting. . Second attempt she’s breaking through pic posted fingers crossed.

24 hour light at this point. Steady 72-75 degree RH 72-85.

DWC water changes completed weekly.

Forget to start out with my new grow outlined.

Planted the WZ into the DWC. Temp at 73-78 degrees, RH 78-82.

PE second set of leaves opening now. The leaves seem curled under. 1. I will lower the water in the DWC if there is no change tomorrow. 2. Lower the 1/8 nutes currently in DWC. 3. Raise the light more I don’t believe this is the problem will update.

1st water change in DWC kept nutes low. PE growing roots out of basket. Downhill from here. Keep that space in the darkness and let the roots search down as they enjoy the misting from the bubbles made by my air pump. Overall nice growth on the PE.

Close eye on WZ I noticed edges burning also emptied 1 gallon of nute water and replaced with fresh water.

PE roots everywhere all of a sudden. Very tight internode spacing. Beautiful air exchange. It’s like a tidal wave in the DWC. Started LST early. She’s popping already.

WZ also small leader starting to make its way out of the basket

Nute And Water change completed noticed a smell coming off the PE roots with some brownish slime I immediately used 3% peroxide doses at 10 Tablespoons per gallon. 3 days later no more brown roots. Understand if you use peroxide in your DWC all micro nutrients that you added good and bad will be killed off. Ride it out let the plant regain health and go right back to your weekly nute and water changes.

June 3 2021

Started LST training on both girls. Reminder Pineapple Express auto and Watermelon Zkittles auto. Not sure on a perfect number of colas I think I’m going to stop at 10 per plant unless I can wrap them carefully around the bucket

Niiiiice! Do you have any pics of the sline by chance? I assume not but I use a brown powder nutrient and it looks like it just gets caught on the higher roots or something. No smell but maybe, I should hit it with some peroxide. I don't use any micro organisms so why not?? I keep my res temp no higher than 70 so I was hoping to just use nutrients. Anyway, your plants look awesome

Thank you, I didn’t take any pics of the roots. Not sure about your plant. The PE was showing signs of overwatering and drooping. I lowered the water a little in the DWC and did the peroxide treatment and by the third day she popped back up. Good luck on which method you choose.

June 22 2021

Watermelon Zkittles went right into all out budding not bad for a small plant. Now on the other hand the Pineapple Express blew up quick defoliation today because she was everywhere.

Question ???

Do you think I should cut some side shoots on the Pineapple Express or let them grow?

Pictures from Friday June 18 and Tuesday June 22 the PE exploded

Noticed watermelon Zkittles dark green 250PPM high ph 7.8
PE @550PPM also high PH 7.7 lowered both down by drip system over 2 - 3 hours.

Both approx @5.8-6.

Defoliation again to PE very bushy plant it’s base is 1-2 inches thick the 5g bucket is full of roots everywhere started adding cal mag to the refill water. I usually wait for her to drink 1 gallon then I replenish.
