Piranha's First Grow With Coco

Dwc is super easy bro I also run a couple of dwc buckets growth rates are awesome.

I haven't had a failed run yet on DWC, I ended up with a large male last time and had to toss him which was disappointing. I do think there's lots of room for a new grower to make mistakes though (ie overcorrecting nute issues etc). I have to agree with you on growth rate though, lots of daily growth.

Little update on progress day 27 still Vegging, loving the way the 400w mh is keeping them short and bushy they seem to be really filling the 6 gallon buckets the roots are protruding from the bottom of the buckets and are nearly in the drain off part not sure if this is a bad thing though.

I am still feeding every 3 days 20m A+B to 10L still not recieved my ppm meter yet so just going to play it safe until i get the meter then hopefully will be increasing the nutrient strength to about 1400-1500ppm.

think i might flower in 2 weeks time when they have hopefully filled the tent out, would have started the flower process if i had the 4 plants like i wanted but that's life.
will be using 400w mh for the first week of flower then switching to 600w hps.

Lookn badass bro yea the meters are great and they have heloed me learn a bit too. Happy growing to you sir.

Happy new year mate still not received my meter i think it's lost in the post as the the seller marked as dispatched over a week ago.
I also had to drop the nutrients to 10ml a+b to 10 liters as I started getting burned tips so i think my water may be hard plants looking really good atm will be taking cuttings for my next grow in the next few days will post pictures soon.

Quick update.
These pictures were taken day 34 2 days ago seem to be really pulling on now going to start flowering in a few days.
Checked them last night and and found two tiny little thrips on the underside of leaves could only find the two its weird I always noticed little sliver spots on the lower leaves but could never find anything thought it was just a deficiency in the nutrients I was wrong I soaked the plants lst night with a organic pesticide. Hopefully this will eradicate my problem but I'm in doubt this will be the last I see of them.

I started 13 clones away 4 days ago in my diy propergation box built using celotex insulation boards and 2 24w 2700k cfls using rootit propergation dome and sponges temps are 25c never used sponges before so hope they pull on.

There filling out nice going to flower soon? Did you get your meter? Death to the thrips.

Yeah was going to let them fill my tent before flowering as mazar is not a tall growing strain still considering giving them another 10 days I don't know I never really set a date for flowering just when it feels right I haven't had any smoke for 3 months I'm very patient and I refuse to buy from overpriced suppliers.

Still no meter yet the suppliers were hiding a Hong Kong dispatch address so could be another 2 weeks.
They seem fine at 15m A And 15ml B to 10 liters so will keep it there for now I also invested in ro water system 3x 10' filters 1 carbon and 2 sediment loving it for drinking water but until I get my meter don't know if I'll be needing it for growing, still though a good investment for your drinking needs.
Do think I should flower?

I agree, only thing that should stop anyone from vegging longer is a grow-cab/closet

i agree im going to let them fill out more, a week or two.
if i had the 4 i wanted to grow i would of flowered when the leaves were touching each other and the sides of my tent i cant wait to get the 600w on them im hoping for an explosion of growth. never expected the 400w metal halide to have them this short and bushy i will never use hps to veg again. the growth is like that of T5s and will have the benfit of a cooler tent in the summer months.

i have just purchased a 800w oil filled radiator for the flowering lights off hours as the 4 hour dark period my plants have, the temp was getting as low as 11c not too much of a problem as the roots have two 60w tube heaters at the base of the pots and keeping the roots warm is more important i think but the 800w will be in during 12/12 and will set at 25c themo cut out so hoping i wont need to burn 800w for 12 hours.

cuttings have yet to root but are standing straight and seem happy i will update with pics in a few days just misting the lid and leaves once a day.

Thats no kidding guess you will see in about a week, after four grows I just order feminized seeds saves time money and dissapointment. I also found that the males are always more robust from the start dont know if theres any truth to that but for me I swear by it. Happy dwc growing mainframe.
Piranha things looking good those mazars are going to be some beasts. happy growing.

I bought 'feminized' seed as well, but they apparently don't guarantee the seeds and state that they have a 75-80% success rate on them. I will probably switch it up once these seeds are gone, I've seen some grows with no male issues whatsoever.

Now day 45 and i will be starting the flower cycle tomorrow just took some pictures this morning of my rooted clones managed to get my ppm meter and my water was 69ppm so i bought some cal-mag to bring it up to 200-300ppm my overall ppm is 600 if i go higher i get nutreint burn for some strange reason i know these plants can handle up to 1600ppm tried to bump it up but every time i get light tips from new growth.
checked my tap water this morning it was 169ppm so from now on will just be adding 1ml per litre of cal-mag for the first 2 weeks of flower i did notice lime colored areas of my plant returning to a nice lush green.

Iv had my 600w hps on them for the past 5 days as i would like them to stretch a little to get some of the lower nodes up to the light.
as for bugs iv never seen any damage or any thrips so fingers crossed that's the end of the little fuckers.

i also took out the smallest plant and gave it to my pal to use as a mother it ended up being a very healthy plant.

clone that rooted a few days ago the first one.

Damn nice work bro. Remember the first couple weeks of 12/12 they will double their size.

my mate tells me dutch passion mazar grows more or less 1/4 of the size during flower boost but i know where your coming from i did G13 haze in soil once that doubled during the 12/12 first weeks.
i will have to put the clones in suspended growth until harvest, next crop will be 6 plants 5 gallon buckets or 9 plants 12 litre air-pots not to sure yet want good yield but quick veg.
