Plant pollination

Hi All,

Can someone tell me if male plant size (not plant quality) will affect the "quality" of the pollen?

I would like to produce some pollen for pollinating healthy females for seed production. If I grow a healthy male in a small container for pollen collection, effectively stunting the roots and therefore plant size, would this affect the quality of the seeds if used on a full-size healthy female?

The way I see it is that the genetics are not being modified by using this technique, so how would this affect the quality of the seeds? Some scientific data regarding this would be great as I'm sure everyone has their own opinions on this.

Any pros and cons to using this technique rather than producing a full-sized male which would make the process more complicated (keeping a separate grow room for the male)

Any help would be much appreciated.

I say no, important part is the structure and flowering time, also how healthy this guy is. Try to choose the best candidate you can put your hands on.
