SAN DIEGO - Police served search warrants Thursday at four smoke shops in San Diego, seizing marijuana pipes and other drug paraphernalia, according to the City Attorney's Office.

The warrants were served at the 420 Smoke Shop in Ocean Beach, Freak Factory in Mission Beach, Smoke-n-Stuff in Mission Valley and Up in Smoke in the College Area.

A city attorney's office spokesperson said the operation was designed to crack down on so-called "head shops" that, according to police, "blatantly market and sell drug paraphernalia."

It's the second phase of a county and city crackdown on the sale of drug paraphernalia at local smoke shops.

In addition to the drug paraphernalia seizures, the smoke shop clerks will face misdemeanor prosecution by the City Attorney's Office.

The impotence of San Diego’s City Attorney's Office regarding their current situation, and these tantrums that follow would be funny if actual working-class people weren’t loosing time, and hard earned money.

As far as frustration goes, punching a pillow might be the better option...given our current financial situation and all, but that's just me.
