Pot Size

I am growing Blue Mammoth Autos, indoors, in soil under CFLs & an LED panel. What size pot do they need to grow in? Right now they are in 4" pots.

I do not do autos, but from all I have read 3 gallon pots. I have also read you should start them in 3 gallon pots rather then transplanting them up like photo plants.

OOPS! I guess I'll try transplanting them and hope for the best.

You may notice the growth stop, or you may not. If they do slow down in their growth phase I hope they recover quickly for you.

Re-potted them this morning, so far, so good, they still look perky

1/4 gallon per week for root growth works great for me. So a five month grow would be 5 gallon pot

I always go to a 5 gallon pot for my final transplant...

Being in growing Autos, and they are usually smaller, I put them in 3 gallon pots.
Next time I will start them off in the 3 gallon pot to avoid transplanting them

I would still go up to a 5 gallon pot to maximize the yield.... I realize autos do not like the stress of a repot and would probably leave this one alone but I would go for a 5 gallon next round and the only thing you have to lose is a little soil if you don't harvest a bigger amount.....

Thanx for the advice, next plant I will use 5 gallon pots instead of 3 gallon. These plants will stay in 3 gallon as I just put them into them from 4" pots and don't want to disturb them again.
