Potency of Kief?

Quick question for the pros. If I have bud that's say 20% thc, will the kief of that bud be 20% also? Now from everything I think I've learned over the years is that concentrate tends to be closer 100%. This may be a stupid question, but I'm trying to figure what the mg of thc measurement would be using the kief to make a glycerine tincture.

Kief will have a much higher THC level than bud. I've read 30-60% THC in kief.

Yeah that's what I thought. So let's say its 60% for calculation purposes. 7g of kief equals 7000mg. That times 60% is 4200mg of thc. Divided by the 300 ml of glycerine would give may an approximate potency of 12mg/ml of tincture?

4200/300 is 14 not 12. What are you making?
