Qb96Elites build

Hello all I have just finished building my light. It’s (6) QB96Elites ran off of (3) HLG-320H-54A drivers wired in parallel. Wow these lights are super bright picture doesn’t do it justice. I can tell these are going to be way better than my (2) viparspectra 1200watt lights. I kind of just got them up today. I’m going to put my detailed finishes on it tomorrow.

Kind of wish I ran Romex or MC wire. It looks like a birds nest. I’m going to change it tomorrow to lamp wire or some kind of bare sheathing I can get that’s tight enough to cover existing wires. In the tent the dangling down extra wire is for when I need to drop my light to it’s lowest point. I’m going to keep that excess coiled up outside the tent where it comes into now. Overall already extremely satisfied and I don’t even have anything under them yet.

I will post updated pics tomorrow.

I recommend moving the RO further away from the electrical wiring and devices.

A GFI at the start of each electrical circuit is highly recommended.

I’m going to change my outlets to GFI I don’t think I’ll be moving my RO. I don’t see a problem with it at all I’m sure some might. I used to be a project manager for 10 years building new commercial buildings and shopping centers. Now own my own business. What I am getting at is we sometimes would have our water meter, backflow which spits water out frequently within 1.5ft from the 400amp electrical panels. This is within the codes also.

I am switching to GFIs it’s been on the list. As stated before I wish I used different wire I don’t like the wire being exposed like that. I want to dress it up somehow. I am going to move the drivers over to the red. Kind of just got them up there and all wired up. Still have about 3 weeks until seedlings are under there. But really excited to see how these boards perform!

3/4 x 3/4 aluminum angle 1/8 thick. It’s actually a really simple build. I’d recommend anyone with drive and is somewhat knowledgeable to just build their own light. I mean sure they are just easier to purchase but you definitely save from building your own. You also get to build it to your own requirements.
