Quebec Blue Grow

Well gave her a feeding before lights went out earlier today. She’s looking great and today marks 4 weeks in veg. I was going to put her in a 5g bucket but soil was no good and due to newest restrictions with lockdown it’s not easy to get. So flipping to 12/12 as of today so if she doubles or little more in flower I’ll finish her at decent size and she’ll be fine in the 3g.

Yes I believe so as I’m sure she’s gained a few inches over last bit, getting excited now! Lol
A few inches in each direction. A good problem to have

Just a few pics as I try sitting patiently waiting. Making up her next watering, she looks okay still but weight wise she’s close to needing a feeding.
So on another topic, I’ve been humming and hawing over wether or not too flush this time around as I’ve been reading more and more people not doing it and did on my first two grows. Also debating on putting her in the dark for her last 24 or 48 hours. Anyone want to weigh in on subjects, feel free!

I don't do a flush anymore, it doesn't effect the buds. I will lighten up on the nutrients a bit for the last couple feedings though. The main reason behind no one flushing at the end anymore is because you can't flush the buds or leaves of nutrients, you can only flush the root zone. All flushing at the end is doing is starving your plant and making it use its stored nutrients which are in the leaves. Flushing is a concept used to get rid of built up salts/minerals from using synthetic nutes or if something is out of whack in the root zone you can essentially flush it and start fresh (not in organic/living soil)

As far as putting your plant in the dark for up to 48 hours, I do it as well but I don't remember much of the science behind it. It's supposed to thicken up the trichomes.

I should really try the dark thing. Usually I have stuff that isn’t done at the same time though which makes it hard to do stuff like that. Now that I have some mother plants on the go I might do a clone run of all the same plant to try some of these other techniques to obtain some of my own anecdotal evidence.

If it's just for 1 or 2 plants, a really large cardboard box can be used as a dark room. Just something I've seen done in the past/present.

Clones are fun to take and watch grow. A great learning experience as well. My first time cloning, I took 20 outdoor clones and brought them in, I ended up with 19 rooted clones.

I’ll be going 48 hours dark with this girl. I did 24 hours with last plant so will be looking for any difference.

Lights are on, she’s awake and happy! As mentioned, I will put her in 48 hour darkness before harvest and not flushing, just need to put focus on the drying and curing process. Having just the one plant makes it nice for using same tent to dry. Once curing I’ll be starting a new grow, two or three feminized GSC’s!!! Unless this QC Blue turns out well, then two GSC and one QC Blue!

So it’s been a few days but she’s just been stretching and moving along. Great thing like my last grow is not having any real issues at all. I keep it simple yet put in the time to make sure her environment is good and she likes her feedings. I’m looking at upgrading my lighting and dick23rk you may have some input on the BESTVA Pro 2000W. I feel this would work if my next grow is 3 plants in my 4X4?

Hey steel, your plant is still looking great and that stretch is adding up nicely looking at the node spacing.

The bestva led panels seem to be a decent product, I have two of the p1000's now that I will be using in my 4x4 when I fire it up. I can't speak for the 2000 itself, but I'm not sure how well it would cover the whole 4x4 but their website says it's recommended for 4x4 flowering so you should be good. The 2 I have seem to be powerful enough spread out, here is a picture from when I was doing some testing.

Yes going by what they say on the website, covers 4X4 for flower so should be sufficient. Also I’m settling on doing just 2 plants next grow, both feminized GSC’s, so should be fine.
