Question about hermaphrodites

i started growing outdoors 41 years ago, and 1 of my growing buddies asked me a question that i didnt have an answer for. and i've been reading some of the grow forums for 5 or 6 years now, and i don't recall reading of anyone that addresses this topic. his question was will the clone from a mother plant that has morphed, due to faulty light timer,also be a hermorphadite? thanks. my first time posting anything on here or any of the other forums, but i do like checking them out.

Well did it already hermi befor he took the clones. An how did the timer actually fail. Was the plant already flowering?
