Og kush fem on 7 week of flowering stage. She was a little plant not sure if buds will get any bigger. She’s been given nutes foxfarm line for only about 4 weeks. Pistils ratio looks about 60/40 Amber/milky white

I’m a newbie and didn’t know better at the time- I’m getting better though. My other other plants are well nourish. This plant is my very first...

Please give constructive feedback. Thanks

I think you’ve confused pistils with trichomes. Pistils are the hairs on the bud where as the trichomes are the crystals. The buds look like they could be bigger IMO, but the trichomes don’t lie if they are 60/40, they’re ready. it’s a bit hard to tell with the pictures given.

Stone I think I will wait for 1 to 2 weeks before I completed harvest. Pistils-I feel are to long and will curl in a little more. Below are better shots

Thanks bro for the advice. I’m definitely being patient with her. All the long hairs was an concern for me.

As others have said, you're all good mate! Those long hairs are a great thing! She will keep spitting out hairs trying to get pollinated, and as the buds age the calyces will swell around them. If you keep seeing her popping out those hairs (pistils), keep letting her go! Looking good!

I agree with the others; I would let them flower longer. I look to the stigmata/pistils and the trichomes for their cues as to when to harvest. There should be at least 1/4 of the stigmata/pistils turning brown and you should see some of the trichomes turning amber. To see the trichomes a 10x loupe is helpful. The plant will keep making new flowers as the old growth overripens. Another cue would be fan leaves turning yellow and drying up. By watching for these three cues you'll develop an eye for when to harvest. The trichome is where the active THC is concentrated. It looks like a crystal clear miniature mushroom under a 10x loupe. Once it starts to cloud over, yellow and turn amber the THC level drops off. So, trying to harvest when the THC level is at its peak is the goal. It's always a judgement call; has she reached her peak THC level or has she gone past it? Good luck lucafantasma. Plants look great. You should see the buds fatten up a bit before harvest. Good job.
