Quick Intro

Hi everyone, I found this place by following the grow journal that Roseman posted at another site.
I've been lurking around a bit reading, and this looks like a cool place so I figured it was time to say hi.

Little bit of background on me:
I am "disabled", but I live in a state where I can not get MM.
The prescription drugs that they do give me are destroying my stomach and have caused me some serious side effects.
Smoking (I actually use a vaporizer) helps to ease my pain and helps me to sleep. The only side effects I have found are a tendency to eat like a beast, and going broke!
Being that I can barely survive on my disability payments, I can't afford buying $20 bags every few days.
I am about to start my first grow using a sort of Deep Water Culture set up in a tent under CFLs.
I had tried using soil (to save money), but all my plants died suddenly after starting to show buds.
Hopefully, I'll do better this time!

Anyway, I'm more of a lurker than poster, but I'm sure I'll have about a million questions during my upcoming grow.

I want to caution you to take all safety in growing your own meds.

How do we get busted?

Loose lips sink ships, you can't catch a fish until he opens his mouth.
Rule 1, Do not tell anyone.

How do we get busted other than blabbing or bragging?
1, Xs, X wife, X- gf, X best friend
2, nosey neighbors...........the smell, seeing you tote in supplies, odd things in your trash
3, strangers showing up at the door. How is your odor control working?
4, getting busted away from home with pot on us, or pics on us

Hey guys, thanks for the welcome.

Thanks too for the heads up about safety.
It sucks to hear about anyone getting busted for trying to help themselves.
Trust me, I am extremely paranoid about who knows anything about what I do.
I could probably write a whole message about the precautions I take (my roommate thinks I'm crazy).
I was (and still am) not too comfortable posting online about my upcoming (this week!) grow.

Hopefully I'll be able to earn Deep Water Culture status with this grow!

As I get more comfortable, I'll probably at least post updates.
