Radogast 2 - Return of the Clones

Obscure, for sure. Pretentious, I couldnt say, since I have no idea what that is. lol (Im really doubting pretentious)

No Lalique statues, but I took a Janice bud around to visit a few ladies of the desired aesthetic

You are a priceless addition to the entourage. :laughtwo: :bravo:

Thats so cool! Im thoroughly entertained. :)

I have had more little bug bite marks than spider mites for a few weeks now. When I looked all I could see were small white dots on leaves.

Today I found a ple of white dots along a leaf rib and took a look. With a 30X lens, I can seee these as a pile of small larval, aphid looking critters. I'm going to try dabbing these directly with neem oil on a q-tip.

This photo covers an area smaller than a dime (15 mm) magnified to the limits of my phone.

P.S. The brown and white dots are not visible to the unaided eye - only the white mass.

You poor guy! The bugs just won't leave you alone. But, good to read that you didn't get over anxious when you discovered the new signs. :thumb:

I swear, that first picture with the statue...I used to have that exact one. LOL
Nice little visit that bud had with the ladies. You're a right fine tour guide.

:circle-of-love:

My 3 oldest girls in flower: Quiffa, Stacy, and Stella have been in the flower room for 7.5 weeks, almost 6 weeks, and almost 6 weeks.
Today, they all showed some cloudy trichomes. Two days ago they were all clear. By the pistils, none of them look ready for harvest.

I looked back at Quiffa's mother Quiffa and she didn't show cloudy trichomes until 9 weeks and was harvested at 9 1/2 weeks.
The strains flowering times are listed as 8-9 weeks, 7-9 weeks, and 9-11 weeks.

I'll check again tomorrow to see if maybe my eyes were cloudy, but it seems really odd to see cloudy trichomes on only 7 1/2 weeks under flowering lights, much less on under 6 weeks. I wonder if that is the difference between a July harvest under 12/12 and a December harvest under 11/13.

Unless I see amber, I'm probably going to wait until after christmas - it just seems odd to have cloudy trichomes so quickly

Old vs Young Snowcap clones

The older snowcap clone (left) is taller, but the younger snowcap clone has larger, healthier leaves.

Note the shiny leaves that were treated with pure neem oil 24 hours earlier.
Out of 50-70 individual leaves treated on 9 different plants, 2 of the leaves shrivelled, drooped and were removed.

White Widow Bellatrix leaf drooping one day after leaf treatment with pure neem oil. Most treated leaves are fine.

It's the 11/13 lighting Rad. It really ramps it up that much.

An almost everything except harvest kind of day

Today, enough roots had set that it was a good day to transplant a pair of girls from 5" pots to 10 gallon fabric pots. As soon as I got to the basement, the girl said she heard I had cloudy trichomes and asked if she could harvest and trim today. I told her, "Not yet, but probably before Christmas."

About 40 days ago, I guessed that seeds germinated would be ready to transplant in 30 days. 12 days ago, I guessed that a pair of rooted clones placed into 5" pots would be ready to transplant in 21 days. I was less than half right. The two candidates in 5" pots ready to transplant today were, a 40 day seedling and a 12 day in soil rooted clone.

40-day Borderliner seedling, Iman. Borderliner was the pain med that saw my wife through 2 months in a cast with a multiple fractured ankle.

I then harvested 2/9th of the bottom worm tray, yielding about 12 cups of worm castings and worms.

12-days in soil rooted clone Snowcap Stacy with a top dress of 6 cups of worm castings. Snowcap is my wife's current favorite daytime med.

It was now a tight squeeze in Early Veg with 4 fabric pots and 4 5" pots, so I promoted my 12" Tangerine to Late Veg

Early Veg with Hawaiian Skunk, AK47, Snowcap, Girl Scout Cookies, Borderliner, Northern Lights and breeder free seed.

12" Tangerine Yasmine moved to Late Veg

Late Veg was now one pot too full, so I cloned a pair of Caramelicious and moved their shared pot into the Flowering Room

It's delightful to see the scallions growing in your pots Rad. Good job. And :woohoo: on the Hawiian Skunk Flower finally taking off. :high-five: Things are running smoothly for you and that pleases me to no end. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Strolling through the garden room

In early veg, the little girls are growing. There will be two large pots available later this month.

20151217_214401.jpg

I have started guiding Snowcap Stacy along the inner perimeter of her pot.

20151217_214419-1.jpg

On the late Veg SWICK, the drama is with the two Tangerine x Blue Dream (front left and front right).

20151217_214245.jpg

On the left, my compact little darling Yasmine is uncharacteristically stretching at bud sites.

20151217_213733-1.jpg

There seem to be boy bits growing in the flower zone. The claimed parentage of Tangerine x Blue Dream (*almost Blue Dream made with Mango Haze instead of Super Silver Haze) sounds tempting to keep as pollen. It grows beautifully.

20151217_213758-1.jpg

On the right, Ibn al-Yasmine's sissy Ghita, the tall one, has been slowed down on her way to the Flowering Room.

20151217_214027-1.jpg

Ghita underwent bilaterally tip reduction surgery which will, conversely, double her tips to 4 while allowing lower stems to catch up.

20151217_214021-1.jpg

I placed Ghita's excisized tips into the cloner where they overshadow the other clones.
If Yasmine's pot becomes available soon, I may plant these twins there.

Glimpses in the Flowering Room

I inspected the three in early flower for thrips, neem oiled one leaf, and sprayed plants and soil with 1% neem.

Giselle C1 (3.5 weeks) looks less frail and disorganized with buds. She won't likely yield the 6.5 oz of her mother (who lasted 3 months: until last week.)

20151217_215922-1.jpg

Girl Scout Cookies Annabelle (3.5 weeks) also entered the wet foliage contest.

20151217_215934-1.jpg

On the late flower side, Caramelicious Quiffa (8.3 weeks) has thrips but I didn't treat. With her cloudy trichomes, her next treatment will probably be harvest.

20151217_220018-1.jpg

Nortern Lights Stella (6 weeks) may have cloudy trichomes. I will tunnel back there this weekend to check.

20151217_220049-1.jpg

Snowcap Stacy (6 weeks)has cloudy trichomes, some thrips, and is starting to foxtail.
Snow Queen was harvested at about this appearance and is a daytme home run hitter. My wife broke into her last big Snowcap nug this morning. Since she ran out of Borderliner two weeks ago, and is cutting back on the Oxycodone, we need another daytime heavy hitter soon.

Snowcap Stacy, expected to be a daytime partner for my wife this winter. (I wanted some of her for oil - sigh)
