A raid on several Sioux City area homes resulted in the discovery of 4,100 marijuana plants capable of producing more than $2 million of processed marijuana.

A tip from a federal agent in Pennsylvania led to the investigation and arrests.

The marijuana was grown at seven different addresses in Sioux City and South Sioux City, Neb., in the past seven months, federal court records show.

Once harvested and processed, the marijuana would total 820 to 1,025 pounds and have a street value of up to $2.5 million, authorities said.

Six were arrested Tuesday on a charge of conspiracy to manufacture, distribute and possess with the intent to distribute more than 1,000 marijuana plants. Theresa Hoa Nguyen, 25, of Dakota Dunes was arrested on a charge of conspiracy to launder money.

All seven remain in custody and are scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
