OK guys, back again... we finally got everything setup after a long wait.. first week in, root system has already stretched down into each of the pots..

I took clones from the Lemon Haze last week, unsure if I should wait for the Incredible Bulk to catch up a little and flower the whole lot together, no doubt Incredibles will be much smaller than the Lemon?, or put the Lemon in another tent and flower it separately?.. what’s everyone’s opinion?

If you forgot! Here’s a little about what setup we are running...

Setup:
OUTSIDE GARAGE
5 x Incredible Bulk clones
1 x Lemon Haze seedling

Grow system:
NUTsystems Oxypot 19 litre x 1
My DIY RDWC system currently using 5 buckets to make room for the Lemon Haze already established...

Lighting:
Castnoo 1000w full spectrum LED x 2 - 2000W total

LAgarden Tent 240 x 120 x 200

Nutrients:
GP3 - 3 part feed with Micro
Rock Supercharge Root tonic

WEEK 1: 24th February
Cycle: 18-6
PPM: 700
PH: 5.5

Happy snaps

And a few clones for shits and gigs...

So a week later we are looking nice, a few deformed leaves as it took a few days to balance the PH after transplanting...
They will grow out of it in the coming weeks...

PH now stable at 5.5
PPM still at 700, plants seem to be responding well.

Lemon's clones will likely be a better fit to flower with your IBs. Again imo. Sorry to post twice lol just had an afterthought.
yah was thinking that myself, new clones in but now only have 1 spare pod for RDWC system

I have my first tent packed up, but its 1.2x1.2x1.8... tiny for flowering... not ideal but i think i might just have them both meet half way, the lemon i'll flower a little late, incredible a little early... see how it all pans out i guess, but to set up the old tent would be a pain and i think a little small for the stretch..

not sure, does trimming roots slow growth at all?

Week 4, getting taller and growing out of the PH spat... normal leafs starting to come though...

very hungry, stripping the nutes weekly, have bumped it up a little around 800PPM

The Lemon haze is at 1,100PPM and drinking big time.. wish I got the timing on this grow a little better but will ride it out and hope the incredible catches up before I have to send to flower..

Peace ✌ Stay safe friends, the world is a scary place at the moment

End of week 5, the Lemon haze is getting big! really bad timing with the smaller clones alongside. The Incredible Bulk’s clones are growing quick will most likely turn the whole lot to flower at week 6-7 if they are strong enough. Otherwise I might have to crown the Lemon Dont have many other options unfortunately.

No changes to last weeks PH & PPM ranges, have given them all a nice trim back, especially the Lemon Haze and removed all the dud leaves on the Incredible Bulk.

Trimmings gave me a nice set of clones ready to go in when this lot are done.

Stay safe in isolation peeps! Happy growing.

End of week 6 looking good, still haven’t been able to nail the PH with the RDWC system. Had a shit PH meter on hand, just got a new one hopefully helps with balancing everything.

So far so good PPM at 800-900 still, lemon haze have bumped up to 1100ish.

Wanted to push to flower this week but thinking I should wait another 1-2 weeks.. what’s everyone’s thoughts?

Looking good!

Is that waterfall aeration or are you using stones and pumps?

Stones and pumps, have a pipe on a right angle that dips into each pod, just to reduce the water noise living in a town house keeps the neighbours at bay lol...

Can’t hear any noise from outside the garage so works well.

Have just turned the plants to Flower yesterday..
will keep you all updated early next week when they do a bit of stretching

I myself have two rdwc setups with waterfalls. I was running both waterfall and airstones at the same time, and then figured I could do away with the airstones and just depend on the waterfall returns for oxygen and agitation. I put little screens in the ends of them - like what you would find on your kitchen or bathroom sink to aerate the water even more and so far I've had no problems.

I'll be watching to see how they turn out. Cheers.

Might have to give it a shot your way, air pumps make a lot of noise and are a pain to maintain running 24-7.. thanks for the heads up

Yep. There were some informal studies floating around several years ago that actually showed the DO content of your reservoir was higher with simple surface agitation vs. air stones. As mentioned, I put little screens in the ends of my T connectors to aerate the water even more, but it's not needed. And I agree, the light sound of a waterfall is much more soothing than noisy air pumps. You also experience less reservoir temp increases given that the air coming out of your air stone is heating the soup.

The only other thing I would mention is that in one of your pics above where you are showing the root ball, it looks like your water level is real low. I'm sure it's just the angle of the camera or something, but it kinda looks like you only have a couple inches of soup in the bucket.

Good luck my man - I'll be watching your thread in anticipation of a killer harvest.

Thanks mate, yeah I’ll have to give it a crack next grow with setup. %90 of the noise comes from the pumps, my fans are in a MDF box mounted on rubber blocks and insulated. Ducted is all insulated so only leaves the water and air pumps that contribute most of the noise.
Plus will cut down on the power bill, not that this setup cost much to run.

Yeah that photo was taken after being out of the house for a week, was at a low level. Usually is up near the black top hat where the water feeds back into the system. But for a homemade setup I’m extremely happy with it..

About to go do some maintenance and make sure they are all fed well, will post some pics soon

Ok guys, flower day 12, some nice heads starting to show. Stretching out big time very happy so far.. also forgot to mention... I added a 600w HPS just before flower for maximum yield..

They are drinking a lot as to be expected, and ppm is dropping right down before refilling every few days. Plants are loving the nutes...

Few pictures and a video for you. Had a few beers before the video if you couldn’t tell...

Fellow lockdown friends and alike, lady’s and gentlemen... week 3 of flower is almost at its end... and we have some pretty looking plants ❤️

One problem I have comes across as of a few days back, I have a light leak in one of the DWC buckets... as suggested by @straightup after we finish up in these lady’s I will be buying some square buckets and re-working the pods... every 2-3 days I’m having to get into the tent with a wet & dry vacc and suck up puddles...
not ideal for half way through the grow but I think it started last week when I pulled one of the buckets forward to get access to the lemon haze at the back.

Anyway no big deal, will sort that out later.
Plants at 1200ppm across the board.
Seeing some quick growth and drinking like a camel in the Sahara.

Much love ❤️ @ 420 community
