Really thick buds

If you have really thick colas, do they need to be dried any different than hang drying to ensure they are dry through to the middle?

How do you prevent them from being overdry on the outside, while still damp in the middle?

How many days to hang dry roughly? (They are too thick to snap stems and whatnot.)

but the moisture in the stems will even them out
when ya' put them in glass/cure container.
