Smaller box holding at 64% rh. Tomorrow morning once the plants I chopped today and bud washed have had a chance to dry out a bit more all will be moved to the larger box and I will attempt to hold the rh at around 62%.

Nice drying rack. Cardboard is life!

Thanks for stopping by guys. I can’t take credit for the box I stole it from @InTheShed but cardboard is common for drying.

I used spider wire fishing line and a big needed to thread it through the box. That was my DIY addition. I used a 3/4” wood drill bit to make the venting holes.

Cardboard has some nice properties. I think it’s a good idea. Makes humidity control easier. Might go get a humidifier with an rh control to make it even easier.

Happy Easter Everyone.

Box looks terrific and 64% is golden for now. As they dry in there the RH will start to drop to ambient. You have everything sorted:thumb:
Thanks Shed. I got the humidifier blowing into the box to keep the humidity at about 62%. Bought a caliber 4 hygrometer. Should get here Thursday just in time to move the cannabis to the jars or bag.

Your cardboard box drying area looks great. I had thought about trying something like that last year but instead used brown paper bags where the buds rest in a messy heap rather than being nicely individually suspended. This year after reading some posting on, the slower the drying the better, i.e. the whole plant, roots and all, I again thought about a box, but with only a 2 plant harvest which already had taken a bit of beating from caterpillars half way thru flowering, I didn't want to take the risk of the plant being too wet for too long and getting mold, so I again stuck with paper bags. I'm guessing by feel/smell/weight that my harvest will be ready for shifting into jars for curing after about 7 or 8 days of drying which I think is probably ok. If I can perhaps grow more plants next year then I would like to try the box approach for drying a whole plant.
