Rhys777 First Attempt At A Journal And To Be Honest A Grow

Hello!

I'm in! Looking good so far!

Stay high my friends!
-The Captain

Welcome along for the ride, be prepared to see some stupid moves, totally new to this game and may make a few obvious mistakes

I have done a few successful grows myself. I'll help out any way I can. Let me know if you have any questions.

By the way are you any good at telling plant sex? I put a post in my journal (in my signature) a minute ago trying to free up some space in my tents and ditch this suspected male. Feel free to pop by and weigh in.

Looking forward to your posts!

Hey man, thanks for popping by and I would love any input...

I'm completely new at this so have absolutely no idea how to help there. I did have a look at the journal as well as going to be watching the rest of that grow

Keep it real

@Lerugged what do you guys do about load shedding.? Eskom makes life so shit with this nonsense
I use the greatest light around. Always reliable always on time. I grow outdoors for the most part and ithen live near parliament so don't usually get. Now they are done for the year we are getting . Super kak

So can back from a weekend away expecting to find girls all suffering but instead they all looking healthy at their second full day above soil and exactly one week from germination... Not sure if it's on track or slow but I'm stocked they at 100% survival rate so far...

Room temp is sitting at 26 degrees celcius and at a humidity of 65% is this good growning conditions? Soil is still nice and moist

The picture below is off a girl I planted 2 weeks prior so she is currently at three weeks now. What do you guys think? Looking healthy? I am following @Emilya watering system and seems to be doing fine to me?

So today is 4 days above soil... Things seem to be going well. One plant looks like it's leaning a bit so I've tried straightening her with a toothpick for now hoping things will straighten up

I check up on these girls like 5 times a day

Temp is 24c
Rh at 67%
Soil Ph is at 6.8 ( is this right?)

Below are some pics of the new little girls taken a few minutes ago

Below is a Pic of my current setup. I'm currently in the market for the Mars hydro TS3000 though... Will hopefully have it next week.

Any tips or suggestions please fire away

6 days above soil and the babies are look good.

Everything seems to be going well, been misting the leaves but still have not watered as moisture says soil is still moist enough

Day 14 above soil

I went about repotting these girls last night they have been moved into 30cm pots

Medium used was a potting soil bought from local supplier called African dream, not sure about the nutritional value of the soil but I do know the pH is at 6,8 which after reading through plenty of journals I'm guessing is pretty ok. Still trying to find out more info about nutrional values.

I mixed this soil with 20% perlite and 10% vermiculite. (both pretty hard to come by in my area)

Relocating this girls went pretty well and hoping that they settle in nicely and thrive In their new little homes.

Currently they are under 2 Mars hydro reflector 48s and I'm patiently awaiting the arrival of my Mars tsw2000 either today or tomorrow and they will then go under that light for veggin (hope Its the right choice)

After transplant I noticed some yellow spots on the one little girl's leaves... Not to sure exactly what it's from as she's been given no nutrients but temp here did get really hot and tent got to a max of 34 celcius before I was able to cool things down, could this be a possibility for the yellow spot and leaf tip burnt? I hope that was all that caused it and there's no underlying issue I'm missing

Lights were at 300mm away but after seeing this and getting a shock I have moved them to about 500mm

Anyway some research will now be done to find any possible causes...

They look happy. Could have had a water drop on the leaf. I am lazy about watering so I get them. I am happiest when my plants reach for the lights.

I was thinking along the same lines that I may got some water on their and maybe a bit of a burn..

Thanks for the input. I do try and be as careful as possible when watering.

Yup been there a few times, water splashes even when your the most careful!

It’ll b just fine, they’re lookin good man, and when they’re going for the light, it’s a good thing, they’re praying for it :Namaste:

Haha yeah shit I atleast try be as careful as possible.

Love it when they reaching for the light and today they will have a new light above there little heads

Today my new light arrived I cannot wait to go hang her up and give the girls the light they can deserve.

Ill be saving up for more light one day but for now my Mars hydro tsw-2000 will have to do the trick with some supplemental lighting from my Mars reflector 48s

Tent is slowly becoming a habitable place for these beautiful little plants

Girls are sleeping now so will install her just before wake up time
