Day 32 since breaking soil

Shame for the month these girls have been alive they really have gone through a rough time.... This should be a journal on how not to grow a plant

But anyway hopefully they survive and I learn from this.

So last night, day 31 I gave them there first light feeding watering just outside where the root ball is with the majority and wetting the root ball slightly. (attempting to encourage the roots to move outward in a way)

The feed consisted of

Vermipure @ 10ml/l
Seagro @ 5ml/l
Biobizz bio grow @ 2ml/l

And this mix was ph'd to 6,2 and lightly poured onto the soil in increments in order to let oxygen go down as well.

Each plant got approx 250ml

Growth seems to have boosted

Below are a few pictures... Tips have burnt a bit but I'm assuming this to do with there first feed.

Hey man I’m gonna sub and check things out if you don’t mind. Pray you never get root aphids they will devastate you and there isn’t much you can use to get rid of them without using toxic stuff. Imidacloprid is what would work. Spinosad pyrethrins oils none of that works 100 percent it might slow them down but won’t get rid of all of them. I lost an entire room 4 lights in the trash from those bastards.
Root aphids will make your plants look like there is a ph lockout and you will chase that all the while they are just killing your plant.

Your plants look pretty good for a first grow too.

Those little insects that were there seem to be gone for now and I probably check atleast three times a day at the moment to make sure that they not back. So far so good!!

Your plants look pretty good for a first grow too.

yes I have a fan blowing horizontally across the plants as well as a fan blowing at my lights to try and help cool things down in the tent.

I try keep airflow as good as possible. Really don't want mold to become a thing.

Currently the light is 24" (600mm) away from the plants

Perfect! I am running the TSW3000 about 12 inchest from my largest cola and seems to be working well. Very little heat projected at the plant. I monitor my temps at various points in my grow as well as relative humidity.

I was looking at getting myself the tsw 3000 myself but prices here are rather steep so decided for the first grow rather go with a step down and upgrade when needed. 2000 Will always come in handy.

My outside temp range around 35c to 45c at the moment so keeping things cool in the tent really was a bit hectic.
Aircon arrived yesterday and since then everything is where it should be.

My RH sits around 55 to 65% which I'm hoping will be fine

Day 35 - trying things

So today plants are looking good, slight bit of color change on some of the leaves but I'm not too worried about this yet. Doesn't seem to be doing much to the plants but garden is coming on quite nicely at the moment

So the point of today's post is that I decided to try some training techniques. Different in a way on each plant. To see what I feel works best for me

This girl I have tied down four main branches and defoliated everything below those branches

I have tied this girl down but left everything on her. Her one branch seems to have topped itself or something as it's split into two.. Interesting!

This one I have secured the base of the stem and pulled her down to the other side. I'm not to sure whats going to happen here but oh well let's give it a go

#4 and #5

Nothing done to these two yet, anybody have any ideas on what route I should take here?

Day 36 above soil

Went and checked on how the girls were doing after some training and they seem to be doing great! Had some good growth and all leading ends are facing back towards the lights

I've decided that on the two I havnt done any training too I think I will top them again and see where that puts me? Hopefully it will be a good move.

Was planning a feed for today but after checking the weight of the pots they could possibly go another day so I'll push for that.

I thought I would post the other two girls from the garden just for fun

Day 37 above soil - feeding day

The gg#4 girls (smaller ones and stars of this journal) all got a decent feed today.

The girls all got approx 250ml of nutrient solution which consisted of the following

Biobizz bio grow @ 3ml/l
Vermipure @ 10ml/l
Seagro @5ml/l

Im attempting to tease the roots out so most of the watering was done around where I assume the roots to be heading, pretty much around where the leaves would be ending and a small bit next to the main stem. (holding thumbs)

Will probably take a good couple of days before needing to feed again.

So far nothing is looking out of order and girls seem to be growing and quite a steady pace...

Still so stoked there's no signs of those bugs from a week or two ago.
