Rockwool clones in soil?

I am about to get two clones that are in rockwool. I was wondering if it will be fine if I take the rockwool and plant it in soil or will in need to be grown with hydro? thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to reads this and reply

i was thinkin the same the other night!
is it easier to start a clone for a first timer to put it in a 1" cube then put it in a soil pot or.......
put it sraight into the soil?

Thanks but I guess my question was in vain cause when I got the clones they were already in soil

I've used rockwool cubes for germination as well as clones, for soil as well as hydro grows. It actually helps support the plant untill it out grows the cubes. I recommend a 24 hour presoak of weak nute solution before using, although its not necessary. I've had a near 100% germing success with rockwool.
