21 weeks and it's not ready?
Do I just throw it away?
The colas are still growing?

DUTCH CRUNCH = DUTCH TREAT x JACK HERER

From seed
Super cropped
Single plant
Hydro
Water Chiller = 70F
400W
A/C = 84F day - 68F night
Exhaust 24/7
VENTILATION FAN 24/7

12/12

Start over?

Since no one knows what to do?
This morning I will change the light fixture to a air cooled hood.
I will run the exhaust through it.

84f is all I can get my room to at level 7 with my 5000 btu A/C.
My room is 24" x 36" x 9feet tall.
By changing to an air cooled hood I should be able to lower my daytime temperature to 75F on level 5?
My RH% is about 50 - 52%.

I guess I will just try stuff until someone can help me?
I'll give it one more week!
If I can't get her to ripen I will just throw her in the trash and start over!

California is a irrigated desert!

It's always sunny and hot here!
Never a real winter!

Since no one is willing to help I will cut her down.
June 30th today makes 21 1/2 weeks of flower!
I turned the light off and will give her 36 hours of dark.
Time to cut her down.
I will rebuild my flower box.

Because the colas were 3 feet long (1 meter)
I though I would have a monster.
My trash can will be full!
Giant however fluffy nuggets on the colas.
There frosty however not tight!

Shut down for a month and get ready.

Failure is a part of the journey!

I'm a rookie grower indoors.

I never expected to get a plant this big?
It's huge?
21 1/2 weeks and still not finished?
84f during the day is too warm I guess?
I'm going to add a vented light hood and run the exaust through it.
Plus I will add more intake.

In CALIFORNIA the legal limit is 8 oz.
Dry weight it's most likely more.
So should I just throw it away and start over?
The grow shop workers don't know?
People on this site won't tell you?

Since I'm at a lost I figured just throw it away?
The Tricones are clear and cloudy however no amber I can see?

I have turned off the A/C, Exhaust Fan and 400W light.

Tomorrow I was going to revise my room.

Any suggestions?

My first grow of Northern Lights finish flowering in 6 weeks!
21 1/2 weeks?
The only thing I can think of is to make room colder?

Please don't throw the buds away. Is there anyway you may be able to take and post a closer picture of the buds?
150 days in flower is a very long time. My friend BAR has one that's been flowering for 133 day currently.

Hi ataxian. Here are a few thoughts. You should be proud of growing such a large plant indoors. I still don't get why you'd want to throw it away? Have you tried a sample? I grow mostly sativas and I never wait for amber trichomes. On indicas yes, but not my sativas. 50% clear and 50 % cloudy is very good time to harvest sativas to preserve the sativa effects. 84º is near the top end of preferred temps. I don't think that is causing you any problems. Photosynthesis stops at ~90º. Some sativas don't form hard dense nuggets. Some continue to push out new stigmas. If I may make a suggestion, enjoy the plant as is. You did put a lot of work into it. Not every grow or plant will go according to plan. I started growing in the 60's (yeah I'm that old), and I still make mistakes and continue to learn. No need to be too tough on yourself.

Hi brightlight.

I grew in HAWAII in the 70's outdoors.
We threw seeds on the ground in APRIL went surfing everyday until mid October.
No watering (It did rain a lot)
No nutrients (Soil was pretty dark already)
No Pruning ( We did top it to keep it under the 5 foot grass!)
We were just surf hippies.
Now days you need to be a BOTANIST?

My indoor grow is yielding a monster plant.

So if I just cut her down can I turn her into shatter?
The electric bills are kind of high!

I like what you say about AMBER tricones.
There milky?
I did work a lot on this girl.
I hate to stop however my wife is looking at the electric bill tripling and telling me to shut it down for the summer.

This is not to say I haven't made huge mistakes!
I was thinking to re-design my room to be cooler and lean towards the INDICA strains for growing.
Maybe these seeds are better for outdoors?

My room was 5 feet tall then I made it 7 feet. Now it's 9 feet tall and I'm out of room!

My NL strain never got over 24"!

Get some CFL's the light bill should diminish greatly.

I had a 600 watt and went to a 400 watt and knock off 6 degrees.

I cut her down today.

The Colas were bigger than my legs?
The tricone were milky white and no amber.
Two weeks ago I made some shatter from a small 460gram cutting.
Very peppery taste.
The effect relaxing.
I will just start over with some modifications.
The nuggets on the colas are frosty however a bit fluffy.
Some are good enough for the vaporizer and the rest will be used for shatter.
I was going to throw it away however it might be salvageable?
I use CFL's for my germination box and pre veg with no problem.
My final veg box is 400W then 600W Flower.

I will stay with a 11 week or less flowering strain from here on out.
The seeds I have are good for Outdoors I think?
Indoors Is another issue!

Thanks for the feed back.

It smells pretty nice despite my rookie status!

She is beautiful! I don't believe you were thinking of tossing her out.
Why?? Crazy to grow her then just throw her away.
Fortunately you did not. Great harvest.
Keep it hazy,
Duncan.

Huge plant. This is a success in my book lol.

One plant?

I leave the stem a little so I can handle the nugget when I empty the jars and reload.

You tend to trim a lot when your girl as a lot of babies!

I see you are growing Blackwater OG?
I love that strain and bought some recently.
Talk about sleeping medicine?
