Rosin Press: Information Thread

I have had the dab-press 3x7 caged plates for about a year and just ordered the pre-press mold for it too...but I went rectangular (still for 2" x 4" bags). Just trying to simplify and improve my process too.

I cleaned my plates and gave everything a once over today. Ran a 10g press in a 120 micron 2x4 bag to test my trim. Better results than I expected.


That's the OG Cheese trim I'm working with.

This $15 puck maker got my attention and will order this week. Search for "Aerospace Aluminum Press" on amazon. It's rated higher than other puck making products (pollen presses, etc).

40g of OG Cheese trim netted me 6g of beautiful rosin. That was just from first pressings. I'll take a 15% return from Larfy material and leaves

Question, do these puck and pollen presses work to press kief into hash? I'm not at the point to buy a rosin press yet, but I would like to try pressing some of my bubble into hash but don't have a clue how. I've never smoked or vaped anything but flower.

I thought this would work for flower but the pucks are much too small. From looking at the amazon reviews of similar products it's mostly used in the cannabis community to press kief for easier storage. I imagine you could use it to make kief pucks to press hash rosin, but I have no personal experience with that.

Just bought a 10-ton dabpress.

They’re sold out of pumps, the link on their site for one from northen tools goes to a product no longer available.

Anyone have a rec for a pump? (Preferably with a gage, but whatever at this point. I got a ton to press. )
