I can totally relate lol. This months will be even higher than last months 329 cause this month there is a 3rd a/c and there all running harder. I am seriously thinking about not growing next Summer. With how much harder it is to remove the heat than add it (in the Winter) and the fact that most of the Summer time Harvest will be completed during Croptober and or when the market is flooded ( It already F'ing is??) and I don't want to have to compete for business as much, anyways maybe a good set of C-Vaults and some time off in the Summer is what I need? lol. I dunno it's always something. So we just got back from signing papers on the new home that sits on 3.5 acres and is really nice but now its time to load up my pile os $hit truck and head to the grow and play like I do. Upside is it's always a refreshing feeling to get way bak there where there is basically no one and by the time I get rested up a little lights go on and it's time to play. SHHH don't tell sWeetP that she thinks I am working lmao.

yup i was growing some sweet mold on those dead mush clones, stuff was ledgendary! but somehow 2mendos and 1 sour diesel#2 are rooted an now in 4in squares of coco they are slow but i think they will live and eventually thrive,i hear you on the summer shutdown i would have shut down flower and just kept a few mothers if it were not for the fact that i had nearly 0 meds, soon i'll have a bunch of killer strains done "half" brix, by the looks of these plants its gonna be some way up there on the attic shelf meds, if these brix readings stay up there,great thing is no flushing with organics, so i can keep them in perfect health till ginsu day, i always wondered if flushing the plants at the most critical time in their lives ! when they really need the food to fatten & harden kinda like sex w/no foreplay! well im gonna try to sleep again this insomnia is bad lately,hurry up gdp! ttys bfam

The temps are a pain in the ass in the summer. I think once you hook up the co2 you will make the #'s you need to make up for the high utility bills. I am in a fairly hot area and my mini split takes care of business so far but the relentless heat of summer is arriving soon. we will see.

Yeah asap, I gotta get the super soil components and get them cooking. I think DocBud said another 50-75 for soil on top of the 75 for the kit. There is a bad a$$ refractometer on the auction site thats used but good shape and I put up a 35 dollar bid but am sure it'll not be enough. Even if I cant get the meter first round I'd still like to start getting familiar with that way of growing as I think in the future it will be mandatory

I am having a hard time uploading pics with the way it's setup now?? It's looks like it does on the IPAD (Mobile Device) but I am home on my Mac? Is anyone else notice a difference when they go to upload pics?
So the week old "Cookies" clones are in .5 Gallon Bags and are looking nice.

The 40 day ols "Reloads" (OG Kush) are looking well and about ready to get a new home in a 5 gallon "Smartie" and a new room.

The plants that are being flushed in "Room A" will be hitting the chopping block in aprrox. 5-6 more days and my goal then will be to have the room cleaned, fixed if needed and reloaded in 48 hours or less.
I am noticing big changes in the way the plants look this round and it's to be expected due to the problems with not flushing enough last round. They are starting to look more and more "Spent" each time I get up there and work with them

That last pic was of the plants in "Room B" that are in ending their forst week of flower set, or what I call it when they start showing there first signs of flowering. There is one of my first test batch of Cookies, so less than eight weks I will know if their worthy of a run. If they are it will be going into room b last days of July.
B.I.D. brought up a good point re: not having to flush when using organics or doing a high brix grow? Something I need to look into and research more cause it's real imp. to grow, flush, dry and cure the best I can to compete with all the out of state growers that are bringing in their product and flooding my area. I can't compete with donations of $125 per zip, I have to haul every drop and drive almost twenty miles one way. My expenses are high and it's looking like the requested donations are also.
So there were a couple of pics of the clones I wanted to show ya'll but there M.I.A. at the moment. Next Journal (will be after I harvest, dry and weigh in the Cookies) will be a High-Brix and CO2 journal and should start the 1st few days of August. DOn't worry their will be lots of bud-porn and weights and measures before this journal is closed and moved to the "Completed Journals"

OK so I found the pic I really wanted to show everyone. It's a pic of the OG Kush clones that are vegin up and on their (approx.) 40th day of vegetive growth, their on a 18/6 light regimen. They get their own 8 bulb 4 foot H.O. T5. As of today (6/19) they are in one gallon grow bags and if I had more room they would already be in bigger containers. Next week they will be transplanted into their final home which will be 5 gallon smart pots. We'll all see if there is much of a change from 3 gallon pots to 5 gallon ones. CO2 Gas is what they really need but I don't even have the funds to fill up the 100 LBS. LP Tank I have. In Fact I have a 250 Gallon Propane Tank that is still half way full. Best thing would be to eventually run Black Pipe after trenching and have the big tank run the gennie and maybe a couple of wall heaters. I wonder if a properly running wall heater burning propane would give off a higher Co2 reading? I am a$$uming it shouldn't or it wouldn't be safe for human occupants?

This other pic is of the Hanna Refractometer I am stalking on the big auction site. Would love to get one of these but with funds stretched so thin right now I am sure my tiny bid will be passed up before the auction ends. I think there about 200 bucks new, I bid a max of 39.99 and would have to pay another 20 bucks to ship. I think 60 for a new one would be awesome but I don't think it will happen

I feel you brother! but you dont want to compete, you want to destroy! Best way to get your price down is to lower your cost per sq, ft buddy! : P you should look in to ways to stretch your dollar, lol if you have people that want cheaper medicine, make half a grow your cheep grow and use less expensive nutes, cut corners if you must. less you spend the less you can charge for it, IF thats your market, were im at 200 a zip is a good sale, but with compation here its who can have the dankest, pll with spend 285 for a zip of premos, and thats how it SHOULD be but some pll dont care and want somthing cheap... i get that lol but like you said yourself if i spent a grand on a grow, i want AT THE VERY LEAST a grand back out of it : )

They want quality weed at Mexican prices....I will throw my weed in the trash before I fuck up the market.......we gotta pay attention and be strong.........or drive the market ruiners outta the country....how else you gonna do it....we are part of the problem or the solution....or we have our balls on a fence! We are at a way disadvantage to the fact that we grow indoors........a acceptable average for what I call small plants in California is two lbs a plant. It's too hot here to grow weed correctly outdoors, all I see are little six foot skinny ass plants...compared to a plant grown at 85 degrees in humidities around 60%.....it won't happen in this heat! I am serious...there are places where they get 10 lbs a plant in cali...................there is a trend here for folks to be terribly poor........and people will sell weed cheap........

WHOOOOOOP WHHHOOP you make major profits, the other product you sell.... use that to cover your expences,. imagine this, you have two rooms, one with all the shit you want dressed up nice and dope for your dank tree.... then another room, say 6x6 ish with a 1000w. then you stuff half the room with 1-5 gallons (depending on how much time you want to spend watering ; P) the trick is to have the smaller room yield every month. SO when your plants are half way done, fill the rest of the room... now you set up a perpetual grow that pays your electic, water, nute,extra bills, while your dank product that you baby makes you pure fat profit, and if you have patients that Enjoy quality, price isnt a issue they would rather spend more and get dank, others, just want to low ball yah!

My point exactly...but people will sell for nothing here...it's skullduggery....this country is a mememe society, as long as I get mine IDC about anyone else..................that is whats wrong with the whole damn country..............like a heroin junkie, they want that immediate rush.....self.....F everyone before or after me. Self=enemy...........the opposite of self is love.....I like to barter........2 lbs for two fat beef cattle....that feeds my family for a whole year..........it's that Harley that costs money that keeps us grabbing for the cash...I've had a lot, and I've had nothing...it's all the same to me cuz I don't need much........and if someone keeps what I need from me I will take it by any means necessary................SURVIVAL! Sounds crude, but that my friend is the thing that everyone's afraid to say, but the reality of my world! My patients donate 200 for an oz, I could get as much as I wanted for half that in cali, but I wont destroy the market where I live....or help to, enough people are destroying it already!, the only option is more distant markets.....and hardly anyone trusts each other in this country anymore.......you can't trust the president, how you gonna trust some schmuck you've known for a year?

I am in the thick of it here in cali everyones trying to get a zip for 140 125 hahaha lol. I laugh at them and say go to your local dispensary and spend 140 youll get ten grams of the stuff I have. Honestly I make them do that if they complain. They come back with there tail between there legs and thats when I decide if I will tax em. Depends on if I like em or not. hahahaha. If they only get a zip the price is set at 225 you get two it less so on and so forth.

this is one of the reason why profetional growers almost fight AGAINST its leaglization because of the fact it would drop the street value of it to nothing, its a crappy thought that what makes it easyer also lowers the profits lol thats why crime pays some timeS! i think the best hedge is to have unique and exclusive strains nobody else has,flavors,colors,smells and effects are what im working on, just imagine if you had the only red,cinnamon flavored strain that made like a viagra/valium effect , impossible? not for the cannabis plant with its crazy genetic potential and massive turpene system, what if you could get the "cinnaboner" plant to go from seed to 1/2 # harvest in 6 weeks, its all in the breeding and dna, thats where my $ is at
