(CNS) - Law enforcement officers raided a gigantic marijuana growing operation just north of Santa Ysabel today, seizing 25,000 plants with an estimated street value of up to $100 million, authorities said.

The plants were removed by officers with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the Narcotics Task Force, which is made up of law enforcement from around the region, said Amy Roderick of the DEA.

Sheriff's Deputy Steve Reed told 10News the grow was discovered when reports came in about water lines that should not have been in that area of the Santa Ysabel Indian Reservation.

The tribe was not involved in the marijuana grow, authorities said.

A campsite was also found, but no arrests were made, Roderick said.

The site was so remote that helicopters had to tote the torn-out plants to waiting trucks, according to broadcast reports.
